    Logistics:
Flight departed, landed on time, smooth.
Long line of cabs available. Zero wait. Quick ride to Cosmopolitan.
3 minute wait invited guest line . No problem early check in. Got requested room type, Tower, but not high floor request. Grateful to get into room early, into shorts.
On my way to room 35 minutes after landing - can't ask for better!
Tried swinging past District Donuts for a snack... have lunch in 90 min, but haven't eaten. Huge line...never saw a line that long, even pre-covid. Forget snack. Eggslut line so long, it's got a supplemental line because the typical hallway is past capacity. Self seating tables by Holsteins/escalator mostly removed. They must be making space for crowds.
Room on very low floor... I'd guess is 9th story. City view, I can't see over the roof of what I think is Marquee. Good view of Boulevard Pool, nothing else, can't even see Chelsea Pool. I'd fuss if I was here longer, but it's one-night, don't care. I've had the fountain view and will again.

Time to hit the casino floor. Have a feeling that this is gonna be a hella crowded experience . Midnight tonight, many restrictions loosen or disappear altogether.

I'm still in admiration that you went on the 30th to use that tier night. I know everyone has different wants and opinions but I've sure enjoyed the lower occupancy and less crowded casinos, while simultaneously missing the restaurant variety and shows. I'm anxious to see what happens with increased capacity. Looking forward to following along!

Not as crowded as first impressions. I guess I just walked by breakfast crowds. Easy access to slots. Now starting lunch, place near empty. Obviously not reconfigured for May 1 distancing

One of the peculiarities of overnight trips. I got here 90 minutes ago. Already getting checkout notices.

Momofuku proving a little odd. I'm sitting at the counter where you can watch cooks. But its covered by bartenders from the front room. Server/bartender apologized for being absent, covering bar and counter.

Approaching 25 minutes since I ordered lunch. Cant help wondering if my food is sitting there getting cold because I dont have regular server.

I can see her socializing at bar... food is flying out. I'm sitting by expediter. Maybe she forgot to order my food?

District gets more crowded lately because it's one of the only things open before 10a or so. The line may be crowded, but they're efficient and it moves fast! I ate there twice this month.

Good luck and enjoy your stay!!!

    LOL

I think she screwed up and didn't order. Another person came over and asked if I needed anything. Went to her. I saw her run to POS. then she came over and said " I dont know what's up with kitchen... I'm checking. But let me pour you some sake for waiting.

I'm sipping a great saké that goes for $22 a glass, and she filled on rocks glass 3/4, no ice... gotta be almost a triple.

And a comp bowl of shisitos just arrived

So, kinda scored, and after the sake, I probably wont care much

Finish that thread about Momofuku. I'm interested in what's going on there.

I can add that for all of the VMBers reporting they took a beating at Cosmopolitan... I have joined your ranks.

I have no way of knowing, I'll never know. But the place just feels tighter. As if they adjusted the payout percentage, perhaps to recover losses at a time they know the hordes are returning. I'm sure thats my own little conspiracy theory,. But even on prior bear-downs, things didn't feel this tight. I can't remember moving from slot to slot with a payback so low. Put $100 in, play $5.00, earn maybe $0.50 here and there, cash gone in 22 spins.... rinse cycle repeat.

Even slot features and bonuses feel dialed back. Not just mine... those around me here, the youtubers I follow.

Is it possible LV set payouts higher during pandemic reduced capacity?
