    My Trip Report

I was using my Delta SkyMiles for this trip, so I only paid $11.20 for my flight. I flew from Louisville to Vegas via Detroit. The weather was wet and stormy in Louisville on the Saturday but luckily enough there was no cancelations or delays.

Security was quick at Louisville one the best advantages of flying from there I grabbed a Starbucks for a late breakfast and waited on my flight. Louisville to Detroit was only 45 mins in the air and at 25,000 feet all I could see out the window was clouds until we started our final approach to Detroit, and I could see Canada out the window

Landed in Detroit and due to a 3 hour lay-over went to some cheap place called Leos-Coney Island before I waited for my flight to leave for Vegas. I had the three seats to myself which was nice during the flight was there was not much to see until we were over Utah, but the view was amazing. I just watched a movie and some episodes of The Office until we landed. It was a little bumpy over The Rockies and the Denver area but nothing too bad.

I landed at the airport and had a text that my room was ready at Mandalay Bay and that my driver from Presidential Limo was waiting for me. Due to the Uber and Lyft shortage and it being a Saturday night I ordered a Tesla to pick me up. My driver took my luggage and took me to the car she asked me if I needed to go anywhere before the hotel, so I ended up going to the dispensary and got a vape pen and some edibles. I ended up at The Grove dispensary and it was a lot cheaper compared to Planet 13 so I was happy.

I got to Mandalay Bay got some room keys I checked online with the App, but my phone would not work with the elevator. I had a comp night from MyVegas and that comp night saved me a fortune. I was in a Resort King room, and I was impressed with the size and the view on the 30th floor. I loved the bathroom and the tv in the mirror. I did not touch the mini bar or the coffee as it is not worth the money. I ate me an edible and chilled in the room before going to bed as I was tired.

I woke up some stupid time in the morning and did a video call with my wife showing her the room and all that fun stuff and about 8am I took a nice walk to the Vegas sign. I did not do the sign in my visit in July last year as it was just too hot. The sign was a lot smaller than what I thought but was busy at 8am in the morning so I took a few photos and noticed the fake Elvis at the sign. I grabbed a quick breakfast at Mcdonalds on the way back to the hotel as I had a comp ticket for the Shark Reef Aquarium from MyVegas and had a nice look around at everything.

After visiting Shark Reef, I then made my way to get the Deuce as I had a reservation for The Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan. I had already paid so got sent to the VIP lane and placed a table quickly. The lines where not bad and I was able to get food fast and easily and I did enjoy the food. I had the Wynn last year and I enjoyed that and loved their concept.

After a good lunch I took a walk along the strip to find Madam Tussauds as I had a comp ticket from MyVegas but first I stopped and watched the fountains at The Bellagio I enjoyed watching and the strip was a lot busier compared to July last year. There was a lot of people who had hired mobility scooters and you if I had a dollar for every time, I could smell weed I would have more money than the slots paid out to me.

I finally found Madam Tussauds after walking past it (do not ask) and had al look around taking some photos and all that fun stuff and walked along the strip. I ended up in The Flamingo to check out the wildlife habitat and rate it as one of the best freebies in Vegas. I went to Target to stock up on supplies and got the bus back to Mandalay Bay.

Monday morning, I woke up at some stupid time in the morning and took an edible on an empty stomach which is something that I will not be doing again. I was moving hotels as I had two comp nights from Mlife at NYNY. I had fun packing once the edible kicked in (I use cannabis for pain) but finally was able to get showered and pack. I went for breakfast at Rí Rá Irish Pub in Mandalay Bay and after drinking some cokes I started feeling better again. I then went back to my room checked out and got the bus to NYNY and got a nice early check in.

I like NYNY for the location and everything is on your doorstep, and I was not turning down some mlife comp nights. One of the things I had noticed that in Mandalay Bay they used Cottonelle toilet paper and in NYNY they used Scott. The NYNY rooms are smaller than Mandalay Bay, but I am only there to sleep. There were no tickets online for Zak Baggins haunted museum so I called and to be told there was a 50/50 chance I could get in, so I called the Deuce there and arrive to be chased off by security chasing me off saying I had no chance of getting in. So, I took a walk to Freemont Street which was so much busier compared to my last visit. I had a look around had a little gamble and left and got the Deuce back to the strip.

I wanted to check out Ellis Island and try their prime rib, so I made it back to Ballys on the strip and walked to Ellis Island after exiting the back of Ballys it is not that far at all. I had a play at the slots and went to get some food. I ordered the double cut prime rib and I enjoyed it and after a full belly I walked back to NYNY via Ballys and after stopping in Target on the way back. I chilled in the hotel for a little bit and went to pay some slots sadly Heidi was not too kind to me that evening so after gambling I called it a night.

Tuesday morning, I woke up and I walked to Rí Rá Irish Pub via the Excalibur the Luxor and got to see what they were like inside. I had a great Irish breakfast a pot of tea and some pints of Guinness after breakfast I waked back to NYNY and decided to go and check out Omega Mart at Area 15 I really enjoyed it and spent quite a few hours there. The only downside is that it is a pain in the ass to get to. Google Maps was confusing me so in the end after working out its going to be impossible to walk I ended up getting an Uber there and back without a long wait luckily enough. I then got back to the strip and had Gordon Ramsey's fish and chips for dinner before getting the bus back to NYNY. I chilled in my room and started to pack what I could. I went and played slots downstairs. Heidi was being mean to me, so I went and tried other machines. I had some luck on the James Bond machine but sadly no hand pays.

I grabbed a sandwich from the Deli in NYNY went back to my room and got myself ready to be picked up early in the morning to get to the airport.

It was bumpy flying back to Detroit but from Detroit to Louisville it was fine.
