I've stayed at Cosmo a handful of times. Most of the time, housekeeping did very well. However, I will say that during many stays, they don't clear the room service tables from the halls for hours (and even days). Also, trash doesn't get cleared out in the. elevator lobby area until way later.

Given the fact that housekeeping has rooms to clean before guests arrive, when people depart, not to mention working 8-hr shifts, pretty sure they're not able to be everywhere at once.

I get that there's issues sometimes, but this could also be due to the influx of visitors lately as well. Saw way more families with kids my past few trips, for instance.

As for the OP, sucks that there was a poor experience and it might be worth letting management know!! Especially wondering if it was cleaned given what you found, I would have immediately contacted someone at checkin. However as others has stated, this can and has happened elsewhere (including outside of Las Vegas) regardless of property level.

Agreed. If it's a recurring issue, that's one thing, but sometimes there's too much salt on a given dish.

Also, it was foreclosed on by Deutsche Bank back in 2008, and then sold to Blackstone in 2014. As we sit here in 2021, ownership is likely not the issue.
As someone who's been in multiple hallways, I resemble that remark...

I stayed at Cosmo twice last year, once in the wraparound and the other in the terrace suite. The terrace suite was fine and I had no issues with house keeping. The wraparound was fine until I found a pair of boxers that didn't belong to me behind the side table in the bedroom. I took a photo and went downstairs to ask for someone to remove it. They apologized and as a good will gave me a resort credit. In terms of comps, unless you're rolling like a whale, their pretty tight on comps. But I think this is par for the course with most other casinos. Nonetheless, I do love staying and gaming at Cosmo. They have a lot of my favorite food destinations and others destinations close by. What I particularly love about Cosmo is the resort scent. I know weird, but retail scent marketing is a big deal these days.

Regarding coin-in and backend comps. Cosmopolitan is a "high-end" property and the amount of coin-in would be much more than most CET and mLife properties just to cover the room. Without getting into specifics, even if you made Sterling in your first trip, I think that you would have barely covered the room

Sucks about the room. I would have call the front desk immediately and had them have housekeeping take care of it or move me to another room.

That being said, the one time I stayed at Cosmopolitan, I had no issues with room cleanliness and considering that I did make Sterling that trip, because I was put into a Terrace Studio, I didn't even ASK for back end comps (I know, my bad).

I stayed there three weeks ago and even during "spring break", we had no issues when it came to cleanliness or service. In fact, i'm staying there again upon my next trip...

I’m not even close to being a whale, but my wife and I both do put a lot of coin through. One thing I heard is that they don’t rate table play unless you are exclusively black chips (whereas mLife does rate green chip play)? Maybe that had something to do with it. We regularly get 4 nights comped with a few hundred FP and some resort credit from mLife, so I was expecting a little something from Cosmo since our bankroll for this trip was twice what is usually is.
