    My Trip Report

This will be my first attempt at a live trip report! I have benefited greatly from reading trip reports from this forum and though that it I should do my part to help others.
A little background on us, we used to live in Las Vegas (2006-2011) and have visited probably 10-15 times for vacation. We usually stay at CET properties since I am diamond there and we don't have to pay resort fees. My wife, Jess, doesn't gamble much but loves to spend time at the pool and do some shopping. I like to play basically any and all table games, plus some poker & slots. If I can gamble doing it, I'm all about it!
This trip we will be staying at Ballys in a standard Resort room. Will try to get upgraded at check-in but not expecting much since we will be arriving late tonight. We are flying Allegiant out of Sioux Falls which is our usual way of getting there. We will only be there for 2 full days and then part of Monday so not too much planned for this trip but I collect $1 casino chips so we will be going to Circa and Virgin for sure so I can get chips. We plan on being downtown tomorrow and on the strip on Sunday then probably just relax Monday morning before heading to the airport at 9:00. Since we don't get in until 11:30 tonight, we have arranged for a car service to pick us up and bring us back to the airport. After reading about having long waits for cabs & uber/lyft, we didn't want to waste anytime sitting at the airport so we just booked the Bell transportation airport special.
I'll do my best to update and answer any questions people have as I love reading the other trip reports here!

Thanks and good luck! Let us know what you think of your Bell Trans experience. I’m getting more and more concerned about the Uber/Lyft situation.

I think you get $50 match play from the Golden Gate for flying Alligent so if you're going down there to get the $1 chips from Circa head on in. I'm fairly certain about this, if not it's the El Cortez but I think it's Golden Gate as The D is for Spirit. Good luck and enjoy your trip. I love Bally's. Say hello to Poe who works at that nice bar in the lobby. He makes a great drink called the Povert. Miss him in the sports book.

Thanks for the tip! I looked it up and according to the most recent edition of Sunseeker magazine (June 2020), Golden Gate does $50 match play and El Cortez does $10-$1000 in free slot play and a free beer at any casino bar with and Allegient boarding pass.

Have a great time. I’m also a chip collector; looking forward to seeing how those Virgin chips look.

Made it to the promise land! Had the Bell Trans driver waiting for us at baggage claim. Quickly got our bag and headed to Ballys. Our driver asked if we wanted to stop anywhere before we got there but we just went straight to Bally's since there is a CVS right here. The car was a Tesla which was cool. I did look at the Uber app when we got off the plane and there were no regular cars available and a 10 minute wait for Uber XL. Overall, I'm glad we arranged transportation as it was basically no waiting time once we got off the plane until we got to Bally's.
Once we got to Bally's, check in was empty so we didn't have to wait here either. Didn't get upgraded but the basic resort 1 king room is pretty nice. Lots of space and has 2 chairs with a table so we can eat comfortably as well. It's definitely not a premium property but for a quick visit, it will do!
We did go walk around for a few minutes before we came back to the room for the night. I managed to lose $290 playing high card flush but I did get a beer so that's something. :D
Gonna call it a night and plan to head downtown tomorrow!

they made a few changes in the floor layout so not sure what they still have and dont. the video poker machines by the Keno area have been sweapped from rows to islands, they took 2 roulette tables out near the crossover to paris, they replaced those with a craps table

That’s what it was like 2 weeks ago. Those changes were made between when we left February 24 and when I came back March 5. They had removed that entire pit that used to be by the stairs to the high limit.

Ya I'm pretty sure there was only one open but it was a $10 table. Still took all my money though!

Got up and tried to find some breakfast. Decently long lines at most restaurants and we didn't really want fast food so we grabbed some stuff from CVS and will probably eat lunch earlier than we planned. We did find a mini fridge in our room so we also got some booze to keep in the room so we can pregame!
