Hope your off timed drive home is as smooth as ours was,
on Thursday, we made it home in 3:30, quite possibly the quickest and smoothest drive we've ever done.
Felt especially fast because my ass was passed tf out in the passenger seat.
    Looking forwards to more reports.

whats the o/u on Sun checkout time drive time to LA?
    I go with

That restaurant looks so lovely and colorful. The umbrellas kind of remind me of Parasol Down. Love all the yellow and of course the menu too!

It reminded me of Bellagio's seasonal decor lol. Maybe this is a thing and they're all just trying to catch some water if it rains, being in the desert and all. So many upside down umbrellas and parasols in Vegas!

Oh I definitely blasted some Maiden, and again today when I returned the car. Such a fun, fun drive!!
Blaqk Audio got me through most of the drive, fell in love with the Bright Black Heaven album all over again.

Drive home was smooth, estimated 3hrs, 34 mins when I left last night, and I stopped once for gas and snacks! (Yeah. I'm 5.)

Made it home safe, now at brunch with my mom after returning that fabulous car to Burbank airport. @Jer good call on keeping my documentation. They tried to charge me $205 (for the extra hour, system error), but she brought it down to $167 :headbang:

@luck.ofthe.draw - did you get chili cheese nacho orange dust all over the Charger steering wheel?

Genuinely no idea on how much airtime The Specials got over there... but figured Ghost Town might have been apt recently.

And if I'm linking that, I may as well put Gangtsers up as well, and I imagine that anyone liking ska that somehow hadn't heard of Terry Hall, Jerry Dammers & co would have a little dig around from there.

I wasn't sure how your night was going to end last night and now i know:( can't wait to read what and where you tried calling for any other rooms, if you did. Nice you made it home and stopped for snacks. Lets look at the bright side of this, you went to Vegas again, although it was short and there will be a next time. Until we meet again LOTD....

    Enjoy your day!

Old enough to have caught them as a group when they first emerged in the charts here c1979. I naturally tried to shy away from anything that was successful in the charts and loved mooching around on b-sides and albums long before the internet made it a lot easier. That said, all the Specials classics have stood up well to time. Even Too Much Too Young, which I try to like the least, seems to shuffle into playlists fairly regularly.

I can tell you she and I were discussing at I think around 6PM vegas time, and at that point even at my comp level, I checked for S's and Gs, the only available rooms whatsoever at CET were Paris standard burgundy rooms at $130 on my casino offer, and I had free base-rooms-only at Mandalay, Aria, Nomad, Vdara, and Excalibur, paid at Signature, and every other MLife property said it was completely sold out and unavailable even for money except Delano and Park MGM I think where I normally have middle tier suites free wanted $150+ for base rooms plus resort fees which are waived on my offers at both. And looked like TI was up to $180, Cosmo was so sold out it had a laughing lady on the booking page. Couldnt have paid me to stay there last night with that crowd!

She could tell you better than me, but sounded like she looked everywhere that has a casino?

Glad I left last night, fuck that traffic shit. Not worth it.

The room prices everywhere were insane for March Madness weekend, I could have stayed somewhere Sunday night for free or close to it. A majority of hotels I drove by yesterday were at capacity or almost at early evening last night, and even hotel rooms at Southpoint (if there were any) were $299 or Primm was $179 if not sold out. Just not an opportune time to go, but I got some apartment searching accomplished, and made a new friend and had an unexpectedly awesome time for such a short, quick trip!

    Wrap up later :)

My mom called as she was driving the opposite direction through there this afternoon. Sounds like a mess.
