I don't mind the rooms... I'm sure they will end up looking different than the 'preview' room on display. The thing that got me most excited is learning that I can buy the Wynn signature fragrance... if I can make my house smell like Wynn I won't mind being locked down :D

Thanks for sharing. Very interesting and informative read.

Everyone should read the entire article as the biggest news IMO is that it mentions in the latter part of the article something new called "Shop Wynn Rewards". I knew that we could use comp dollars at the Wynn Home Store. (I really like that cream and brown box on the shelf in between the two sinks in the bathroom.) It looks like through "Shop Wynn Rewards" that you can buy a lot of different kinds of products, including, based on the pictures, computers, tablets, etc. That's very exciting and would be another way that big players, who might accumulate thousands of comp dollars in one trip, could use their comp dollars. It's yet another reason, if you otherwise like playing at Wynn, to concentrate play there.

The design looks a little busy to me but I have faith that it will be elegant and five star hotels IMO should have a lots of texture or be at the other extreme end/minimalism.

One of the commenters to the article noted that the "new" guy is not really knew and has designed a fair amount already at Wynncore, including Encore, which I really like, so that's good news as well IMO.

Here's the relevant part of one commenter's post. Hope it's okay to include here.

". . . .And Wynn has never wanted to be “contemporary” or trendy. That’s what the other guys in Vegas do and it’s why their places all look like an old W Hotel. BTW, Thomas was one of the senior designers at Wynn, but not the only designer. As a matter of fact, the entire Encore tower and mega villas as well as the spa were all done many years ago by the new guy who is a compadre of Thomas and not new at all. He was tapped by The Steve back in 2003 to do tons of stuff in all his hotels. Vital Vegas has it right, once again, as Lenahan is “kicking ass” at Wynn and always has since he started designing for them in 2003. Vegas is in need of a major reboot and a fast-forward to pull out of the Covid doldrums and Wynn is in the lead, IMO. The new rooms look terrific and are heads & shoulders above the rest, definitely geared towards a sharp traveler and not the MGM and Skeezer’s Palace crowds or Cosmo cashless hipsters."

I like it too and always put the one away that is left in the Tower Suites room so that they replenish it the next day.

Here's part of my stash from my trip over the holidays. I have about 20 more mini bottles. Lol. That's enough to last me for years so I am going to stop hoarding them.

If we are ever in Vegas at the same time, I'd be happy to collect some more bottles while there and give you a few.

Yup, but it's $65 plus $45 shipping to Canada... so I was checking to see if Flowers was willing to ship a couple of the small ones for a decent price.

I really like the new look. It is a lot more colorful and warm looking plus it has character. I agree with what they said in the article about it looking more home like and lass hotel room like. As much as I like staying at Wynn I was never impressed with the monochromatic bland look of their room decor.

I think the new look is hideous. Far too busy.

Are the pictures of a new room, or what's availble at the Wynn Shop at Home store? To me it looks like a store display, not what the rooms will like like.

@johnvic Of course nobody knows the definitive answer to that yet, but I believe these images are meant to convey a "pretty good idea" of design elements that will be used in the actual product.

Not a fan of this renovation at all. Too busy. Really don't like the 4 post bed or the counter space disappearing in the bathroom.

I kind of like it. I always felt the Wynn room was a bit sterile and lacking something but could never put my finger on it...the big open space just didn't flip my switch. Now as for the Encore rooms.....please do not fuck with perfection:love: Those rooms just feel "Dean and Frank" to me.

Don't like the lack of counterspace in bathroom but overall looks like a nice refresh.

Had no idea a "Wynn Plaza" existed or Wynn at Home store. Never seen any signage or advertising when staying there 2x.
