I like to arrive around 7:30pm so that I just about have enough time to get changed, have a quick gamble to get in the mood and quite literally throw a few beers down my neck before going to bed at about 1am (otherwise I won't sleep at all due to us being 8 hours in front in the UK and then I'll probably be up and buzzing about by 6am anyway). Then after 7 nights I like to get a late afternoon early evening return flight (gives me a chance to sort my head out and if necessary have a lie in. Usually sleep most of the return journey).

Flying from ATL, non-stop is a must. I enjoy Th - T trips the most (especially with Mrs.S.) but Su/M - Th has advantages too (especially for guy trips).

Most of my trips have involved a 7-9PM departure leaving after a full workday resulting in a 22-26 hour first day. I much prefer leaving 9-noon which balances sleep before and a full-ish first day.

I like leaving LV noon +/- 2 hours to get home in time to have a ‘normal’ next day. After each of two red-eyes home, I swear never again. (But five bucks is five bucks!)

I used to be the type that always wanted to take the first flight out in the AM. Now I prefer to go later afternoon/early evening with a 5-8pm arrival if a nonstop allows it. Sometimes the choice is out of my hands as there is only one nonstop a day depending on time of year.

I like to arrive early to mid-afternoon, this way I'm not leaving at the crack of dawn. With this said, I now keep a night schedule for work, so it's much easier to leave the east coast late afternoon.

However, I ultimately end up taking the cheapest flights not Spirit or Frontier!

Mid afternoon arrival - like folks said, to get checked in, arrange the room/bathroom how I want it , clean up & then begin. It is nice to be near a city that has so many direct flights and nearly direct flights for options out & back.

Flight arrival at approximately 2-3PM is ideal. That way I arrive at my preferred hotel (MGM Grand) right around check-in time and hopefully my room will be ready when I arrive at the hotel. After the 3 hour long flight, then there's the tedious process of getting out of the plane, retrieving my luggage, picking up my rental car, driving to the hotel (oh yeah, sometimes making a stop at Total Wine on the way) and getting checked in. The first thing I like to after getting settled in to my room is to go down to the pool area and sit in the hot tub and drink a beer or two.

I try to arrive late Wednesday night or early Thursday and if possible I always leave Monday morning. I don’t like to leave any Vegas weekend time on the table.

The problem with that is you are usually wiped from getting up early and a day of travel so that day is a wash. Which is why I like to get in late the night before I want to get rolling. The extra night hotel cost is well worth it to wake up fresh and ready for day one.

I focus on daily average gambled for comp purposes. My preferred time on short trips is early so I can get a full day in on day 1. If we are on our long summer trip and have 2 weeks in front of us a late arrival is perfect. Check in at the hotel, grab a bite to eat and go to bed able to start fresh the next morning.

It is all about situation for me. When I was a teacher, I'll do the cheap flights at the earliest time. Now that I'm no longer a teacher, I will leave for a flight after work. So hopefully May 27 at 8pm, I'll be parking my ass on the plane!

Usually around 2 PM Vegas time. We try to get a flight around between 8:30 and 9:30 AM to land in about 6 hours.

Without fail, I always take the 1st nonstop of the day to Vegas, which is usually in the 6-630am range, putting me in Vegas by 830. On the way home, we always caught the last nonstop of the day, so like 5 or 6PM, which would get us in at 11-midnight.

Now that my buddy has kids, he like taking the noon flight home, so we're in by 6ish. Since I have none of those responsibilities, I always think about staying the rest of the day and catching the 1st flight the following morning, but I haven't done it yet. Maybe next time.

I typically like to arrive late morning/early afternoon on Tuesday and leave mid-morning on Saturday. However, not visiting for over a year (I normally make 3-4 trips/year) I might extend this out to a Sunday-Saturday visit on my first trip back, hopefully this summer.

In an ideal world, I would like to arrive in the morning. However, being from the east coast, I often arrive at 11 pm or midnight (catching the last flight out after work), since this gives me a whole extra day in VEGAS BABY

I take the earliest nonstop flight out of Nashville, which is usually 0630 or 0830. It puts me in Vegas between 0830 and 1030 local time.

Definitely prefer an early arrival. Prefer to leave OKC no later than 11 but preferably earlier. Upon arrival drop the bags and head to the Peppermill.
After check in maybe a short nap since it’s a long day.
That’s my plan. Doesn’t always pan out but it’s my preference.

Before COVID I could get on a non-stop from Indy in the mid-AM and be in Vegas with time to relax. Now the nonstops are fewer and I hate changing planes
My current plan is to catch a mid-afternoon around 5 out of Indy and get to Vegas around 6
But I am going to look for an earlier flight on other airlines when I finally decide I can go back

My return is always late. I like to sleep in even if I have to pay for a late check out take my time and enjoy the last meal. I usually come back on the overnight flight on Monday to Tuesday or Tuesday to Wednesday. I take the next day off work

For years I would fly in on a Tuesday and leave the following Thursday because I had read that those were the particular days of the week where airline fares are the lowest. I never really did any kind of in-depth looking at fares on different days of the week to verify the veracity of those statements, but I read about it enough to put some stock in them.
