Great TR, thanks for posting. What a gorgeous hit! Smart taking the check, I couldn't have done it for the whole thing. I would have taken $5000 to the craps table...and lost it. lol.

Beautiful win ! Did anyone question you using your wife's card when you won? Some places do not seem to care and others read us the riot act.

When I started taking the river taxi it was free. Then it was a dollar. The big increase started when gas prices got so high

I have yet to have someone give me a hard time for playing on my wife’s card. That reminds me. When I hit the Royal, I pulled my wife’s card and took my ID and my own Seven Stars card out. When the slot supervisor showed up she said “I was wondering as you did not look like Mrs FAB to me.”

But they took my I D and card and that was that.

Similarly the Wife $2000 handpay was on my players card and Wife said it was no biggie and Riverside even issued the W2G in my name (but her SS#) even though I wasn’t there.

    Awesome hit!!!!

And now I'm contemplating adding a random overnight to Laughlin to my trip next week. Riverside sounds very interesting - VP bar with view of the river and good paytables seems right up my alley.

Great to see someone step up to the high-stakes level and nail it. Sometimes the stars align just right!

Same, but for my June/July trip with my mom. I think she would like it as well.

Bloody nice hit! A thing of beauty. Well done on the self control to avoid taking a piece of it and going on tilt (which is what I'd have done no doubt).

    Congrats on the Royal!

I know you were playing on your wife's card, but since you gave them your card for the W2G, did this trigger a gambling day for you?

Frankly, I don't know the answer. The $20,000 win was reflected on my current CET win/loss online statement for 2021 with no slot or table game entries.

Edited to add: Now I see a slot win entry of $20,000

Well this year I am certainly well into the black. I believe it also makes me profitable for both 2020 and 2021 particularly because almost all my 2020 action were on trips with promos wherein I got a slew of free play if I hit certain tier credit hurdles so I often made money on trips.

Wife really likes Laughlin over Vegas right now. Partly it is because we have done pretty much all we want to do in Vegas over the years. Also, neither place has shows anyway right now. Further, you won't find a bunch of LA partiers filling the sidewalk or casinos in Laughlin -- mainly just folks even older than us. The prices of everything is a lot less than Vegas. Finally, it does not hurt to win big in Laughlin.

@Flowers I think if your mom needs a cane or walker it is doable. But I don't think a wheel chair will work.

Here is the URL of the river taxi service. http://riverpassagewatertaxi.com/about_us

Also you can see a little of its history here:

Hi Tim, sorry I think I was mistaking Edgewater VP with its sister property Aquarius which I will discuss soon.

I generally get my info of new places on VPFree2 https://www.vpfree2.com/casinos/laughlin

Many thanks for this info. In Vegas she'll have a scooter rental courtesy of my host but we'll be bringing with us her walker, which folds up nicely, and her cane.
