Thanks for the monster TR!!!! Your pictures told a story all on their own. I was entertained a great deal reading this, and was educated on quite a few things. Happy for the honest person who had turned in your Tito money, I have found and turned in IDS, Iphone, and credit card at my local casino in OH. I loved your new Bag.

PS did you give the Wynn K9 hat to Champster? He may look good in it.

Another fantastic TR. I'm in awe that those of you who do a TR and keep it going through out your whole trip.

While I'm not really a Spa person, I'm happy to see that they carry Moroccan Oil products. I have only used the hairspray but I love it.

So sad your trip has come to an end. I thoroughly enjoyed your report, almost as if it were a novel. Been missing my monthly trips to AC due to civic, but living vicariously through your trips. I stayed in a ParlorSuite at the Wynn once and enjoyed it immensely. I tipped at check in and asked for an upgrade and got lucky. I still get offers from the Wynn even though it has been 10years since my stay. My in laws used to live by Vegas so I used to go often. W
Had a trip planned for last summer but cancelled. Hoping to go this summer. I have an appointment for my vaccine in 2 weeks.

Thank you for keeping us all entertained. Looking forward to your next trip!

@Flowers, just curious if you ever decided to follow up with Delta on the debacle they put you through at the start of the trip.

Not that it’s about the money (well, sometimes it is), but just the principle whether or not Delta would make things right with you.

I didn't purchase the hat but I thought it was cute and I know there are lots of dog lovers on the board that might get a kick out of it.

I plan to do so but haven't yet as I didn't want to use precious Vegas time to do and I just got back to work (with a personal Am Ex bill that has the Detroit hotel charge on it).

I love your TR's! Your trips always seem to be very relaxing which is how I like to do Vegas. At my age, I am not into partying or very late nights. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your big wins!

Another "She did it her way" trip report. I so appreciate all of your time and effort on these. You do Vegas so differently from me and I enjoy learning Vegas the way you see and experience it. Thanks!

Yeah, it was an awesome trip in every respect. I still can't believe it and have gotten enjoyment again in re-reading parts of it.

I am already in obsessive trip planning for my next big trip (late April through mid May). I organically have always planned my trips so that even if it were to be a losing trip it still had the potential of being a great one. I have had quite a few trips fall in that bucket and of course this past trip was a winning one across the board.

My next trip is one that may be so special on the non-gambling front that I hope it will be in the "great to fantastic, maybe "f@% king awesome" category, no matter what happens on the gambling front but now of course with my mega slot and VP wins my own bar has been set higher. Lol.

Thanks for taking the time to read it and I am glad it brought joy. I felt joy from others, as VMBers were following along.

Finally finished reading this- what a lovely trip and so well written too! I second whomever suggested that Wynn should comp you further or even pay you for how well you showcase their properties.

Will have to give Sparrow & Wolf a try, as I enjoyed Herbs & Rye and think you will too. As someone who works in insurance, you gave me a laugh about the liability of the food at Circa- definitely some liability risk there. Hope to be able to buy you a drink at Parasol Down one day for all of your wonderful trip reports!

Glad you enjoyed the report and Lol on the liability issues. I am still chuckling that even as I was enjoying the fire and my smores I kept thinking to myself "wow, a bunch of folks, including some fine print lawyers, had to sign off on this dessert." Lol.

I do want to try Herbs & Rye. It's funny, now that after one visit Sparrow + Wolf has become one of my favorite restaurants, I plan to make even more of an effort to explore off strip and off casino property gems -- even though I dine for "free" at Wynn, CET, etc. -- so I will try Herbs & Rye.

I also want to try eat. and the related restaurants. As an AA woman it's a source of pride for me that eat.'s Executive Chef, Natalie Young, who is another big Vegas community champion, is an AA woman, so I want to get more great food (casual dining but the reviews are consistently fantastic) and support her. It apparently specializes in breakfast and brunches and claims a "killer grilled cheese and tomato soup" so I will have to try that and do a comparison with the same dish from the Wynn Cafe. :)

@Flowers I am about a week late on posting this but....So while I do typically stay in crappy hotels, this trip I did stay at Circa, Cosmo and Bellagio. When I got home last Sunday and went to bed, I literally "ahhhh"ed aloud to myself when I sunk into my heavenly bed. It had been almost three weeks since I slept in something that is SO COMFORTABLE. I highly encourage you to have one in your home.

I really like my current mattress. I prefer it even to the Wynn mattress but that Westin bed was the best mattress on which I have slept, EVER. When I am ready to buy another one this will be such an easy decision.

My body ached from 17 hours of travel and when I got in the bed in that Detroit Westin on December 27th it's as if the ache DISAPPEARED!!

    How much do they run?

So, I've got a couple of updates to my November trip report and to this one and I'm already in obsessive planning mode for my next trip. Surprise surprise.

I had posted back in November that I had Wynn "shopping dollars" to use to purchase various gifts online. It was like Grazie Gifts or GGWU on steroids.

Well, I spent most of my shopping dollars on a Microsoft Surface Laptop. It came to my parents' house when I was there for the holidays and I then I had to cart it to Vegas but I really just started using it this week since I've been back in NYC. I love it! And as my October trip was a major losing trip (which probably explains why I got more shopping dollars that I would have expected), it's a nice "gift" after the fact that will be very much a part of my daily life for at least the next 2 or 3 years.

There's a chance I might make a weekend trip in late March, but right now I'm looking forward to staying at home for the next few months, getting a lot of work and personal things done, and getting my shots in the arm (even though needles freak me out!). My parents are getting their first shot this coming Wednesday -- thank the Lord! -- and while I'll need to play it by ear I'm hopeful that even with continued restrictions (we all may be wearing masks well into at least the Fall, which is fine by me!), my mother and I will be able to take our normal mega trip, which is typically in April around Easter but this year because of Covid is scheduled for late June/early July.

I had been thinking about Death Valley NP and Zion NP (my favorite national park, which I visited the day after I turned 50) and planned to include visits to both parks during my upcoming trip in late April/early May but after reading some great posts by @AlwaysUpForFun about viewing the Milky Way from Death Valley, I started getting, well, obsessed, and now my trip is going to be 18 nights. That trip will include two nights at the Inn at Death Valley near the beginning of my trip, during which I'll be able to see a Super Full Moon, a night in the middle of the trip at the Lodge inside Zion NP, and another night at Death Valley at the very end of my trip where I'll be able to hopefully get a fantastic view of the Milky Way as it will be the night of a Micro New Moon.

I reached out to my host yesterday as that's a long time and is almost double the length of the trip I had planned and for which he had booked a Parlor Suite. I had a good chat with him last night and I said I was fine with a regular room given the length of the trip but he said "no problem" to the Parlor Suite for the duration and is personally excited about my planned adventures and also knows a fair amount about astronomy! Who knew?!?!

There are number of things I want to accomplish professionally and personally as Spring (my favorite season) approaches, in addition to staying healthy, and I can accomplish them realistically in about 3 months, so I'm also going to view my next mega trip as, hopefully, a celebration in lots of respects, including hopefully many more millions of people having the opportunity to receive their vaccination by that time.

I'm going to start another thread regarding Death Valley but wanted to share that update. I'm also already thinking about when I want to go back and dine at Sparrow & Wolf and CUT, while also trying new places like eat. and Herbs & Rye, finally dining at an Jose Andres restaurant, and continuing to enjoy my many favorites at "home base" (aka Wynncore).

@vegas superfan had asked how I was going to enjoy my slot winnings. Well, honestly, I was in the hole before that big hit, so that clearly got me out of that hole and then I put most of them away, pre-paid a bunch of bills, got over the guilt of overspending on "stuff" in 2020 and also made an extra charitable contribution. But I did "treat" myself to something that I otherwise wouldn't have and that is to three incredibly overpriced Rimowa packing cubes that fit perfectly in my new luggage. I also am looking at purchasing the Rimowa Never Still large backpack in black or the weekender bag in black. My new luggage with the backpack or weekender bag will be a nice alternative to my Tumi and other luggage when I am packing less, which I'm trying to do in 2021 and beyond.

So, that's my "splurge"; that and treating myself to some especially nice places at Death Valley and potentially splurging on some tours as I may be there solo. Whatever was left basically went into my regular and "vacation" savings account.

Wishing everyone a great rest of the weekend and week!
