Moneyline in Aria - counter service only?

Hi all, just a quick question for those who may be in Vegas now. I see on the Aria website that Moneyline pizza has "slice counter service" only. Is the full menu available for take out or is it literally just pre-made slices and possibly beer? I like to stop in for their mushroom pizza and I just want to prepare. Thanks in advance!

 

Back when it was 550 pizza, there was a good selection of slices they would put in the oven for you. I'm assuming they still take a parbaked slice and put it in the oven for a minute or two to make fresh when you order it.

I think I've only been in the dining room once since Aria opened, and that was before it became a pizza place.

Personally, I really enjoyed the Gotham with fresh sausage on it.

 

It's not parbaked, it's a fresh pizza that they're putting in the oven to heat it. It's like a NYC slice counter. They have really high turnover and are making new pizzas frequently.

It's exactly the same as it was when it was Five50. The only real difference is the name (and some of the menu is different). As far as the dining room, it changes every day. Sometimes it's open, sometimes it's not.

 

When we were there in October, you order anything on the menu.

 

OK good to know. I will probably file it under my snack plans and check it out in person. I've had more than my share of reheated pizza so I'm not sure I will want that. Maybe I can catch a mushroom one coming out of the oven!

 

What happened to Five50?

 

They rebranded it as Moneyline. I have never really been clear on why. My guess is that because it's essentially connected with the sportsbook, they want to roll out that brand across the Enterprise. They finally got around to changing out some of the uniforms, but the pizza itself is exactly the same.

It just changes daily. Sometimes it's just the slice counter, sometimes the full menu is available. Also be aware that there are a bunch of things that they've taken off the menu, but it never hurts to ask. At Lemongrass, for example, they took the duck panang curry off the menu, but they'll absolutely still make it.

Honestly, most of the time it's just come out of the oven a few minutes ago. It's not like it was sitting in the fridge overnight. I'm not huge on re-heated pizza in general, but generally it came out of the oven a few minutes ago. Funnily (or annoyingly) enough, I ordered a whole pizza the other week with "extra mozzarella"; they misheard it as "extra mushrooms". I personally can't stand mushrooms, so it was... not ideal. I don't think they have just-mushroom slices out on the counter.

 

Okay! This is what I needed to know. Basically I want to walk up or call ahead, order a pizza and leave with it. Sounds like it’s an option! I don’t make a habit of eating whole pizzas but I like what I’ve been getting over the years and I’d like it again.

 

Yep, that's usually okay (no guarantees though, as I can't remember if I did that on a night when the dining room was available). As far as walking up or calling ahead, places are finicky on that. Some places let you do it and pay there; some places let you order but require a card over the phone; others, like Catch, make you come down in person. The usual caveat applies -- casino floors are pretty predictable, but the restaurant situation is constantly changing.

EDIT: You also might be able to get a regular margherita pizza slice and have them add mushrooms. They're generally more flexible than, say, Eataly, which literally will not add anything to their pizzas even if they have the ingredients there, because "the chef has a certain vision for his pizzas". Come on.

 

The dining room was open in November, but I don't know now. Maybe that is temporary.

 

It is not open now (and by "now", I mean Wednesday, 13 January 2021). Tomorrow, who knows.

 

Chef Sean McClain's deal with Aria ended and was announced in July.
In addition to 550 , he was the owner of Sage .
IMO this was a real loss for Aria. The restaurant was beautiful with two distinct areas of a large bar area and a separate dining room.

 

If you're talking about Sage, they repurposed it as an annex of Catch. They've made zero changes to the physical space. If you're talking about Moneyline, it's similar; they keep changing the menu around a bit and the hours are unpredictable, which is the case everywhere in Vegas these days, but they haven't changed the space other than swapping out the signage.
