Last minute pre-turkey trip. 11/23 for two nights. Lots of Circa and VP.

I'm going back after my best trip ever last month where I hit a 2k royal, $500 4oak on TDB, and several 4 aces with the kicker. Regular slots took a chunk of that back but still went home up a lot.

This trip will be a first for me and my partner. We are strictly staying downtown. Only time we go to the strip is before checking in to our room to collect my partners birthday freeplay from several Mlife properties. Nothing fancy this trip. I will be double booked at DTG and GG for the stadium swim pass lol I'm too cheap to pay the $10 per stadium swim pass and room value at GG is so cheap that it won't affect my comps much. I want to checkout stadium swim to watch my Rams play the Buccaneers on MNF!

The goal of this trip is to spend lots of time playing VP at Circa and watch sports. Expect lots of Circa pics! Also gonna try as many of the 120 beers on tap at the Mega Bar lol hopefully they have some good stuff on tap there!

Food will be very simple this trip. Project BBQ, Whisky Licker Saloon, and Coney Island for some gyros. My next trip in December I am gonna be more fancy but that is not the goal of this trip.

I've read reports that these 120 megabar taps are 20 beers repeated six times. Please confirm or deny.

 

That would be absolutely ridiculous. So, it's probably true.

 

I’m about to find out but I wouldn’t doubt it as a marketing ploy.

 

Just checked into DTG. Room is sufficient for what we need. Stopped by the strip quick for my partner to redeem birthday freeplay at 3 mlife properties. We both didn’t have the best conversion rate but had fun. At Park MGM they had the plexiglass situation so we were able to play next to each other. Off to circa in a bit but first we’re starving.

I’m afraid this was true! Every set was the same it seemed however the first set of taps by the entrance seem to have a little bit more on tap then the others. All mostly the same beers. About 5 domestic beers on tap and the rest craft beers including fro
Las Vegas. The cocktails however are of higher quality and selection than GG/D. They also do some flair bartending so this beer tap thing is a marketing ploy and the quality is in the cocktails.

 

That is a lame marketing ploy if you ask me. But I guess it makes serving a lot easier if the bar is super long

Real bummer. I was hoping for some good craft beers playing bpdlx but me and my partner enjoyed the cocktails and got one of those bpdlx 4oaks. Couldn’t update because my reception was dodgy in the room and at casinos.

 

Had fun downtown. I love that it is empty however I then get sad because that isn’t good for business if businesses have to close due to loss of income. Hoping for a rebound! FSE has this new Shakira show which was fun. They should make more shows to utilize the screen.

Circa Stadium Swim was a good time for sports. Lounge chairs were first come first serve and during commercials they played music then when the game started they put the game sound back on. This place is gonna be packed next summer! Also saw Derek Stevens on the phone at Stadium Swim and the owner of the deli place at Circa. They’re working hard to make it a success but damn pandemic!

Mega bar had more cocktail options then at the D I noticed. Drink service was quick. Too quick!


VP Progressives at both Circa and the D were huge! I got close once at the D but ended up with a straight flush for a pretty high sf progressive. I shouldn’t have been sad since I could have gotten nothing but I still was lol we’ll get it next time!


Trip was short but sweet! Will be back for a longer time in December so I will have a better trip report then!
