How does CET combine Tier bonuses?

I currently have 48,000 tier points. A lot for me as I'm usually Diamond-plus and then move on. But, this year CET is only requiring 60,000 for diamond-elite which comes with a few extras like a $600 airfare credit to LV along with other things I'd like to take advantage of. So, I need 12,000 tier points.

I plan on 2 more trips to a CET casino before the end of the year. I did receive an offer for 5x tier credits over Christmas.

My question is: What is the best way to accumulate the 12,000 points I need with the least play? Can I count on tier bonuses like 'play 2,500 points get 5,000 point bonus' AND still get the 5x tier bonus? Do they set a limit on how many points you can get with the 5x promotion? How many days does it take for the bonus credits to hit your account? This is a Christmas special and if I'm short I only have 6 days before the year ends.

My question is: What is the best way to accumulate the 12,000 points I need with the least play? The way I understand it, if you earned two 1,000 point days, you would get exactly 12,000. ((1,000 x 5) + 1000 ) * 2)

Can I count on tier bonuses like 'play 2,500 points get 5,000 point bonus' AND still get the 5x tier bonus? If you earned exactly 2500, you would earn 17,500 for that day.

Do they set a limit on how many points you can get with the 5x promotion? You need to look at the T&C, but normally there is a maximum. Bonus TC do not count towards the 5X multiplier

How many days does it take for the bonus credits to hit your account? This is a Christmas special and if I'm short I only have 6 days before the year ends. IMHO, if they're having it for Christmas, they should be planning to credit the 5X bonus, by year's end, but that's JMHO.

$600 airfare credit is I believe the only benefit. So IMO don't chase it if it will cost more than $600 loss of extra gambling. Also this is in free play, not cash.

    absolutely agree.
There were times in CET (Vegas) I down $3000 in a day but still short of 1000 TC. I played $1 VP games. It can be that bad, or worse.

I'll have to see where I stand come Christmas. If close, I will go for it, if not close I'll let it slide.

You'd need 1000 TC twice or 2500 TC once to hit. For the June one you could earn 25k tier credits total BUT only a max of 5k per day. So, in your case, you'd still be fine. Because, like DaiLun said, the way it normally works is you still get your daily tier credit bonuses but they are not multiplied.

As far as what you get, yeah the $600 airfare and then also GGWU at all Caesar's properties which might matter to you if you have a local casino (although it sounds like this wouldn't be worth much to you). Since this will probably cost about $1000 in EV, you'd only want to do it if you were planning on playing anyway (which it sounds like you were). I'm unsure if this is a promotion you can double dip, but if so there might be an option to make it favorable. If you're playing in Vegas, you might be able to schedule one of your trips during the Surface promotion and for 2500 TC you'd get $400 free play or a chromebook, which could end up pushing this into a slightly positive EV situation.

No guarantee the GGWU point earning at all properties will continue next year. It's got done this year due to COVID.

I agree with everything @DaiLun said. Read the fine print very carefully if there is any available. Assuming you need the multiplier TCs to hit the target, that's what I'd worry about - when they post.

If i remember from some of the summer multiplier promotions, it took awhile (like 2 weeks) for some of them to get posted.

If I play in December but the bonus doesn't post until January I don't get the credit for 2020?

It looks like two 2,500 days would do it. $20/point. If I play $2 9/6 JoB ($20/point) does the $600 fp offset the .46% house edge? Bueller? Bueller?

Is expected loss $460 in play and gain $600 in fp...or $597?

Ok. Promotion states bonus credits guaranteed to be in your account by 12/31/2020. Also says 5000 earned credit max for a max bonus of 20,000 credits. Anything above that is at normal accrual.
So, only 2,500 points needed. Expected loss $230 to gain $600 in fp. Worth doing.

That's good. You kind of have to trust 'em I guess.

If the promo ends at midnight on 12/26, that gives them 4 business days to process the multiplier job.

Also note the T&Cs say there's an opt-in email that goes out around 12/19.

I'd document, take screenshots/photos of what points you earn on the Christmas 5x days.

Granted, I'm not a VP player, but without looking up the numbers and doing the math, it seems like 2500 TC is going to come with more than -$230 EV.
