This may seem a little odd, but I was hoping for a little insight about parking at The D and how vehicle friendly it is. Work just approved travel for me, but I have to travel by car instead of plane if I want to avoid a 14 day work quarantine. I live in Phoenix so it's a quick drive.

Unfortunately, most Vegas parking garages are not very modified vehicle friendly. My car is pretty low and fairly modified and while I can make it over most speed bumps without issue, those crazy large ones give me trouble. For example, I can get in and out of the parking garages at Cromwell and Bally's/Paris just fine, but the big crazy speed bumps back behind Harrahs/Linq, I'm sure I'd end up dragging the entire frame. I also sometimes struggle with upramps into parking garages if the angle is pretty steep. Has anyone noticed any crazy speed bumps or serious inclines inside the garage?

Sometimes the casino will have special parking for large or oversized vehicles, the Rio allowed a few of us to park there when we were in town for a car meet a few years back. Looking at google maps, there is some outdoor parking over by the pool and also just on the other side of valet pickup. Has anyone used that type of parking at The D?

I don't need to stay at The D on my trip, but I've been really enjoying splitting up my trips between the strip and downtown lately. Plus, I was also thinking about checking out Circa while I was down there.

No speed bumps in the garage at the D but there is a very steep incline when you enter and exit. From what you describe I don’t think that parking garage will work. There is the Fremont Street Experience garage and one on Carson but we have never parked at either, hopefully someone else can speak from experience on the situation there.

If you don’t mind a short walk, you could consider parking in the surface lot at the intersection of 1st Street and Stewart Ave. It is free to park there right now. Closest casinos to this lot are The Cal & MSS. MSS is currently closed.

The Golden Gate is all surface parking.

Agree that the incline is steep. Golden Gate self-parking is a surface lot and I don't recall any speed bumps in or out. My understanding is that a room key from either the D or GG will work at both properties' parking lots, so that might be an option.

Thank you everyone for your comments. Looks like GG might be a viable option. Actually, I've never stayed at GG so maybe now is a nice time to try. I wonder if the Circa Garage Mahal might be an option? I guess if it really came down to it, I could probably park over at Cromwell and grab a rideshare over. I'll probably just do one night downtown anyways and the rest will be at CW. I've got a little time to think about it, lol.
