Since we are not Prime members the delivery time seems too long for Amazon buys.

I ordered Skechers last Friday and got them on Sunday, was supposed to be this past Wednesday for the free option. But then again I live 7 miles from a fulfillment center.

You ain't got nuttin on me. We have a warehouse in my city. Until the pandemic I could get some stuff same day. Now only next day. I have the Amazon Visa. A great 5% cash back on everything, offers for 0% interest on high ticket items paid off over time. I use the cash back from this card (and several others) as part of my stake. Nothing better than cash back to gamble with, nothing really lost. My current cash back is $285.96 on that card alone. I also have the AMEX that gives 6% on groceries and streaming services. They won't give you cash back, but a statement credit which is just the same. It can pay to shop!

I love the convenience of shopping online. You get exactly what you want without searching for it in a store, it comes sometimes as fast as the next day. Since I had my back surgery the online shopping and grocery pickup has saved me!

Man, I think I might be... Ive been on a terror ordering stuff for maintenance on my son’s car so there’s been a delivery every day for at least a week. I love getting the pic in the app when it arrives!

Is this the first step? I fell off the wagon this month. Back to getting Amazon at least 3 days a week.

I was also going to suggest the Amazon card with 5% off everything - works at Whole Foods too.

But... getting 5% off might encourage you to buy even more and it could take you down a rabbit hole - LOL!

I do my part to keep Bezos the richest asshole in the world, I order tons of stuff not just for me, but family, co-workers and my boss will give me money to order them stuff since I have the prime account...few years ago, Pepsi left their factory near my house, amazon recently moved in and opened a few weeks ago, now packages have been arriving a day early...they also have pickup at that location if you want to get it faster.

I do check eBay and order plenty from there also, many times I have found an item much cheaper than amazon and with Paypal credit you can do 0% for x amount of time depending on the price of the item and/or equal monthly payments...Amazon also offers that or 5% back with their store card and credit card of which I have both, lol

Who else has an empty box problem? I used to keep all the Amazon boxes and packaging to reuse for shipping, presents, crafts, etc... but there's just way too many. Our recycle bin is always full and there are empty boxes lying all around the house waiting for breakdown. Maybe there's a business to go around and collect all this cardboard and plastic from AMZN addicts.

Just order a second recycle bin to accommodate Amazon! See how easy that was?

Hello, my name is Paulie. I actually ordered a set of flower decals to dress up the Lowe's buckets I use as flower planters. I bought toilet paper and paper towels during the paper crisis. I apologize to those I hurt by making these superfluous purchases.

    Ugh Amazon packaging !!!

I use boxes for "lasagna gardening" when I make more beds/paths.
I use boxes for my Goodwill donations.
Hubs keeps the really big ones for projects in the garage.
I even use small boxes as fire starters in the fire pit
Also egg cartons, fast food drink holders, toilet paper rolls and dryer lint....that stuff is CRAZY flammable!
(wood ash goes into compost and eventually back to the garden)

The envelopes, air packs, bubble wrap, void fill, foam inserts and packing peanuts are a problem.
I save them up until I have an amazon box full.
Then I post a FREEBIE Curb Alert on marketplace.
I don't want to throw it all away if someone else could use it.

My sister and I alway say we mess up the algorithms because she shares my account (since I have Prime) and there will be completely different things going to completely different states multiple times a week that have nothing to do with each other (toilet paper and spray paint, anyone?).

I was just going off last night, doing the Prime upcoming deal thing.
I told P with the buy time limit, our game of guessing how much would be a good deal, and upcoming moving time limits keeping you up,
it was giving me twinges of Vegasish dopamine.

Think I got a lot of stuff we could actually use, for under $200, and all at decent discounts.
New 800 thread count sheets, foam pillow, beach towels, fabric napkins, laundry bags, cables, gaitors, and more.
Can always return anything we don't like.

I think it's important to buy yourself some stuff in or after vegas,
to re-ground yourself to the concept that money has actual value.

Also, it's nice to get surprises delivered (the orders you forgot you did) that aren't just bills.
