Not really, but it seemed that way at times. I was ordering maybe 4-6 times a week, but when I really looked at it I was fine. Lately I've been ordering items I would otherwise run around looking for. This saves my time and some gas, but I still feel like a QVC freak sometimes.

And if you have a Chase Freedom card, you get a 5% cash back on every Amazon purchase now through Sept 30.

I think I'll get the Amazon card. I think it offers about the same year round.

If you don't live near stores or don't like to go out to shop. There's nothing wrong with being an Amazon shopper. However, I live in an urban center where there are lots of stores and I don't mind driving.

    To each his own . . . .

    To me purchasing isn't a zero-sum game.

We do a fair amount of Amazon and a lot overall online, but it's not the only way we shop.

I just like the time it saves. I'd been meaning to get a couple of new kitchen timers for a while, so a few days ago I took about five min to look at choices and ordered. They showed up the next day. The alternative would have been driving to Bed Bath and Beyond, the only store with a good selection and shop there. This would have taken a minimum of 30-35 min. Win, win for me.

For odds and ends like that, I find that eBay often has lower prices than Amazon, but

1)most of the inexpensive goods come from China (possible shipping delays)
2)Paypal is (almost) the only way to play on eBay

I'm not a shopping enthusiast, but I get a fair amount from them, never clothes or shoes though. I don't do food online either, yet.

And a fair amount is hybrid. Order-online-and-pick-it-up stuff. I like how Home Depot has the lockers, for instance. Cars. My bike was online and then shipped to my LBS for assembly so I get all the benefits of buying locally.

I also frequent specialty websites, like Backcountry and Competitive Cyclist. Always nice when stuff is dropped on the front porch. Like Ric, no "grocery" deliveries but we do get stable/staple items from Costco, Walmart and others. I haven't done much eBay now going back quite a few years. Golf balls is probably the only thing I buy that way. Not this time of year but most of our wine is shipped to us.

    I agree!

While not an addict (yet), I've starting using Amazon more in recent years. My first order was in 2006. From 2006-2015, I averaged 8 orders/year. From 2016-current, I'm averaging 65 orders/year.

you mentioned Amazon in the title and QVC in your post... I do more shopping at Amazon but I shop QVC also! The ease of online shopping and the efficiency of the companies make it so easy. Sometimes I get deliveries and I forget what I ordered so it like a nice surprise.. haha!

Amazon has a big advantage if you are a Prime member , Next day shipping and 95% of the time is free , Ebay is also good but it takes a week to get . Amazon has a great return policy if you do not like or if it does not fit , you can return it to UPC or Whole Foods that are nearby and get a refund in 2-3 days. So if you need something quick Amazon or if not you can shop on Ebay , but if you need to return something it's a process. So I stick with Amazon 90% of time.

I've had Amazon Prime, since they first started offering it, since I'm a frequent Amazon shopper. LOL The free 2-day shipping was a big plus, but since the pandemic hit, there have been more delays and it often takes longer for deliveries. Although, it's still a good value. I also do a lot of price checking online before I order stuff to make sure that I'm not being price gouged, since not all Amazon merchants have competitive prices. Sometimes ordering direct from the manufacturers website is cheaper and they often have free shipping to compete with Amazon and the other big online mega-stores.

I'm actually at home now waiting for an Amazon delivery that should arrive this afternoon. LOL Another thing I like about Amazon delivery service is that you can track them online or via their app, since they have GPS tracking on their delivery vans and it shows how many stops away they are from your house.
