Anybody who stayed under this offer get their Amazon Cards yet? I am still waiting on mine. Checked out on June 23rd. I may call today if I do not get the email this morning. When I checked in at Diamond they indicated I should get the email in 48 hours after check out. CET Rewards also indicated 48 hours after check out I should get them Amazon card.
I checked out on Sunday, received gift card (in what I believe is the correct amount) on Tuesday. Received another one in the same amount on Thursday. Called CR to let them know I received double what I should, waiting to hear back.
I called VIP services. Service Rep sent my info to her Supervisor, whom forwarded it to Special Events Services. I will report back once I know more. Rep did indicate they use a 3rd party service and the email does look like Spam. I guess I will choose free play from here on out and play it off right after checking out.
No chance I'd tell them about the extra gift cards. If i get too much change in a store i give it back. I've been overpaid by 2,000 dollars in a casino but I told the cashier and it was a casino i would never go to again. I did not want them losing their job or owing the money. If I find a wallet i'm returning it. But a casino sends me something extra or overpays me at the table which is almost never going to be caught I'm keeping it. A lot of people really don't understand how scummy casinos are- they don't deserve to be treated honestly as they aren't honest themselves.
They told me it was a third party vendor. I did get on Friday an email titled "You've been upgraded" this was for a lady with my same Surname and it was for her reservation being transfered from PH to Paris. I ran to my CET account to make sure there was no hanky panky, but all was well with my reservations.
All these promos and things that casinos put out for their customers are tracked. There is an in-house auditing team and at the corporate level, another auditing team, so yes, honesty is the best policy all around. Not sure why you wouldn't respect a business when you claim to do it for other things like returning someone's lost wallet. Gambling is a risk, the house will most often win. In the end it's numbers and machines, not the employees, that are "taking your money".
Also a potential risk if they discover that you were provided additional & used it that you could be basically banned. They could state you know what you were supposed to get and knowingly used the extra.
if they ask for it back give it back. i'll tell you why i wouldn't just give it back with out them asking. casinos have the house edge. that's fine. people voluntarily choose to play there and in the long run are going to lose unless they can play with an edge (like card counting, exploiting promos) that's all well and good. i have no issues with any of this. we're in total agreement there. what isn't right is casinos absolutely have back roomed card counters holding people against their will and worse (the worse happens a lot less these days due to lawsuits), they have refused to cash in chips for advantage players until lawyers/the courts get involved. In some cases they not only refuse to cash the chips but then call the police on these players to have them arrested for trespassing. They have refused to pay out on promotions because they found out players are advantage players, they put the information of APs into books that gets spread all over various casinos which is bad enough, but they have even incorrectly put people in these books who aren't APs which led them to other problems. They have refused to cash out chips until a player shows ID when they know the player is an AP because they want to put them in one of these books. They do this despite the fact the cashout is nowhere near the legal limit for reporting and this is completely illegal.Casinos have had dealers shuffle in high counts in blackjack because they know someone at the table is counting. This is literally cheating, and not just cheating the counter but the other players at the table. To be clear I have no problem with a casino saying sorry we don't want your business and asking someone to leave- but the behavior i just mention goes way beyond that and is completely scummy and unethical and in some cases illegal. They have even renegged on promotions they put out to non APs when they actually realize the math behind them is -ev for the casino. they knowingly serve drunk people alcohol even though these people are absolutely smashed to get them to lose more money if they are betting big enough. Sure if you're totally hammered betting 25 bucks a hand they'll cut you off, but bet 25k a hand and they'll keep them coming. Most people who go to casinos don't realize the things I am mentioning happen. They might go to Vegas once a year, pop in to their local casino once in a while, lose some money in the long run and have a good time. There is nothing wrong with that. I don't expect most people to understand what really goes on with casinos when you aren't just handing them your money on a silver platter. This is when casinos show their true side of how they really treat people. I have ZERO respect for casinos as a business. They are unethical scum. If I found a wallet with 10,000 dollars in it i'd return it and not take a dime.I've gotten the wrong change in stores a bunch of times and always return it. But if a casino overpays me and i know nobody is going to get fired/in trouble then too bad so sad for the casino.I would not assume an extra gift card from Caesar's would ever be reconciled as their computer systems are beyond antiquated.
So looks like I won’t be getting my e card, they said I booked the offer with the free play I didn’t use. I originally booked the offer online, didn’t pick any of the three options listed. I thought it jut automatically assigns you to the gift card option if you don’t pick one
