    My Trip Report

What's with people starting trip reports weeks, months, and years ahead of time? A couple of days, sure, but simmer down now...

I'm happy to start my trip report 12 WHOLE HOURS before I leave! Last trip was in March about a week before the 'Rona shut 'er down. Since Geotwink's lab is super busy with the current events of the world, basically nobody can take vacation. My lab deals with inanimate objects, so I can get away for a quickie.

Unfortunately this means it's a solo trip, three days at Caesar's. Host has me in an Augustus premium room, but with things at 50% capacity, we'll see what happens when I get there. Being by myself, the room's not really a huge deal, but if it's nice I'll take a few photos if you're scoring at home, or even if you're alone.

DON'T CHASE COMPS. We all know this, right? But with the 5x tier credit multiplier for June, Geotwink and I did some basic Minnesota math and decided it would actually be worth it to go, as I should be able to make Diamond Elite again this year without a great deal more of play after this weekend. The few extra perks of that are worth it for us.

So what's on the agenda? Same as always. Video poker. Wheel of Fortune. Pool time in the 105 degree heat.

    say-its-a-dry-heat-one-more-time.jpg

Oh yeah, and ride @Texas Steph's coattails at Chandelier and hit a bunch of premium quads. We're gonna get 2 drink tickets! And then we're gonna get 5 drink tickets! And then we're gonna get 10 drink tickets! And then we're gonna break the all-time record for drink tickets!

    Let's rock.

@TriggerMN - Aren't you the guy who never had Chinese food until he went to China Poblano?? Or was that some other Minnesotan?? If you were, how did you like it?

That was me indeed! Sheltered in my Midwest, Scandinavian bubble. I really liked the Rou Jia Mo but the Siu Mai was so-so.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone.

Made the drive up to the park’n’fly just now. This old classic came on.

You know what this song is about, right?
Felt it was a good time to pull into the Kum and Go for a snack. And yes, it’s really called that.

Each of the starters went ahead and got it so they won’t have to sit any games. It’s called thinking ahead!

Always bring a book in case a nap or a movie I want to watch is in the cards. I love to read, and I love to read actual books, I’d much rather have the feel of turning the pages myself instead of using an ebook or Kindle. Today’s selection:

Plane was on time. Flew Sun Country and booked maybe three weeks ago. All middle seats were not available for purchase. But the flight was 100% full.

Flight attendants made repeated announcements to have everyone keep their masks on, but I would say maybe 10% of people ignored it, and it wasn’t enforced.

Uber was more or less immediate, driver said I was his first fare to Caesar’s.

Room was ready right away, sort of. The room they wanted to put me in on a higher floor wasn’t open, but I was fine with a similar room on the 28th floor.

May go have a couple of drinks, pick up my free play, and have a @wanker751 Broodwich before hitting the pool for a couple of hours to fry.

I’ll probably look like Shake going in, and Frylock or Meatwad coming out.

@World Book the XM background pictures just show up randomly from time to time for me, and I don’t know why. And it’s only on certain channels.

Well I put $300 in the $5 WOF and watched that go poof pretty quick. So much for a positive start. Now I just hope togrind back a bit before I go too deep too early.

I was also disappointed that I couldn’t get my money back for this future bet that CET already announced they were cancelling and rebating. Guess I have to wait for the end of the season.

I had a quick snack of garlic cheese knots. Didn’t really want a $50 pizza.

$50? It better be satisfying me in more ways than one!

I was slowly petering away another $100 at Bubble Bar at Caesar’s, back by the buffet, when I got my first @irishdave.
