Starting each day at the Wynn buffet was enjoyable and relaxing. I will certainly be there if they open it in the near future

Yella or blue. If they open, people will come......in droves.

    Gotta win this trip.

Absolutely! Plan on eating at the Aria Buffet and Wicked Spoon during my upcoming August trip.

Buffets have a place in Vegas as much as Joel Robuchon does. I look forward to ice cold king crab, mussels, and some of the other unique ethnic foods. As a whole, strip resorts do an exemplary job keeping the restaurant food venues clean. I'm sure the levels of sanitation behind the scenes pre covid19 were just as impressive as they will be post covid. It's the smaller low volume places that concern me more, as do some of the very low end fast food joints. Vegas strip hotels can't afford to take chances with poor hygiene in the kitchens. Yes, there are always clods who re-use plates, drop a serving utensil and pick it up (hey du-mass leave it on the floor!). The Culinary does a great job training food service staff. The resorts polish off the training with their own procedures. I'm sure much of what will be served buffet style will be pre-plated, which is OK with me. kinda besides myself that I missed the Lakeside (Wynn) Sunday brunch with the seafood cart in January. I'm sure it will be 12-18 months before that reappears.

I really hope buffets will survive. At least the nicer ones like Wicked Spoon. MGM has so ruined their buffets, but the few that are nice and have a great selection need to survive.

Also, the value buffets like Boyd's, which are cheap food.

Absolutely! There have been nasty germs long before this and most have survived. This all happened right after I realized how great the buffet at Paris was. We've been missing out for years and I'd convinced my friends it was a must-stop during our next trip. A wonderful new find and now this. Just my luck.

I love buffets. I'm not really concerned about kitchen hygiene - but I'm a bit concerned about all of the other customers handling the serving utensils. I liked the idea that Wynn floated just before they shut down. It would be a buffet but there would be servers behind the counter scooping some of the yella onto your plate.

I will say that being able to spread out with coffee and a paper during a leisurely eaten breakfast. That being said, I don't have much use for buffets. Now, if the Wynn model is that of the future, I'll pass. I like that I don't have to schlep through a buffet line at a snail's pace to get the 4-5 items I want. Beyond that, it all seems a bit confusing. The offerings remind me of a lot of restaurants back in the 80s that had 6 or 7 page menus.
Scrolling through a list of 90 choices to pick what I want just doesn't sound relaxing. Much prefer going to a sit down and ordering an entree.

    Let me guess, Flamingo?

As for the OP, I would, I've had really good buffet experiences, with the exception of the stomach pain from the Flamingo.
