Yeah, I know. I just find it interesting living here how accurate the show is. KC is a two and a half to three hour drive each way from the Lake, Kentucky? An easy 5 hour drive from the border of Missouri and the South edge of the lake. I know, it's tv!

    Love the show though.

Netflix - Outlander, Season 1 - As someone previously mentioned, how many orgasms can this woman have?

Ozark, Season 3 - Tense. This is why I don't binge. I really want to draw this out.

Dark, Season 1 - It's in German. I've been assured it's a lot like Stranger Things. Meh, but I'll keep going.

Narcos Mexico - Season 2. Cartels are vicious.

Altered Carbon - Season 2. Lots of buff people fighting each other in the future. Skins and Stacks, Man!

Showtime - Homeland, Season 8 - Keeping up with it as it comes out. This, to me, ranks in the Top 10 television series ever.

Finished I'm Dying Up Here. It's entertaining. Brad Garrett is pretty good as psycho, burned out comedy superstar.

Waiting for the new season of Billions.

HBO - Rome, Season 2 - I think this show should have been renewed. I like it and it has intriguing personalities. I don't know how historically accurate it is, somewhat I
suppose. Cleopatra was some hottie tottie who screwed over both Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, who by the way turned into a twit.

WestWorld , Season 3. I caught a buzz this time when I watched and it actually started to make a small amount of sense.

Amazon Prime - Tin Star, Season 2. I'm gathering that the Sheriff (Tim Roth), is actually some sort of 007 type. The scenery in Alberta is spectacular.

The Expanse - Another futuristic space oddity. Someone is stealing water destined for the Asteroid Belters. Mars is getting framed for it.

Bosch - I will be starting this soon.

It is similar to Stranger Things. Season Three - the final season - is in the works now, and was originally slate for a 2020 release. This is not as 'romantic' as Stranger Things; no real cute kids or romantic side stories. It tends to stay very focused on the core theme.

Gonna tee up Waco, 'cause there's no such a thing as too much Julia Garner.

It's a bit disorientating at first to wrap your head around the characters, the fictional universe, and the plot so give it a few episodes. Episode 4 was the turning point for me. Once I finished that episode, I was all in for the full four seasons.

Just got done with The Sopranos on Hulu. Watched it back in its heyday and thought I’d give it another go. When it first came out I thought it was very good but maybe a little overrated. Not now, it’s right there with Game of Thrones and The Wire. Superb acting by Falco and Gandolfini.

I also got a kick out of that even Tony Soprano got long hauled through the tunnel on the way to Caesars. (In a limo but still chuckle worthy.)

    Just finished Ragnarok. 6 eps
I had to stop the film at one point to search for the music.
    The song "Forbidden Fruit"
I got so excited because it sounded like new Depeche Mode.....it wasn't. =(
I did discover the band Hallway Swimmers though.
Lead singer Yan Wagner has a voice similar to a young Dave Gahan (just a little deeper voice)

I'll mention Community showed up on Netflix, and leave it to others to proselytize.

No I haven't and I won't because I just read the book and took a quick look at the characters on HBO and said no way, because they have Holly Gibney totally wrong. This is the fourth Stephen King novel she has appeared in and I won't watch a portrayal that is completely wrong.

I know, I know. Jason Bateman and Ben Mendohlsohn, hard to turn down, but I enjoy Stephen King so much I will not compromise.

Don't take it the wrong way, if you haven't followed that character through 4 books, you will probably enjoy it very much. It might even be Emmy worthy.

fair points. i used to read a lot of King but haven't read anything with her in it.
and you're right about bateman and mendelsohn, bateman is in two of my favorite underrated movies (bad words and the gift) and mendelsohn murders everything [in a good way]-mississippi grind, bloodline etc.

I just finished watching 80 episodes of the Star Trek original series on Netflix.
It was 3 seasons / 79 episodes and the Pilot episode with Capt Pike at the Helm.
Now I'm watching the original series Movies on Amazon Prime.

Let me know how you do with the first movie. I tried rewatching it for the first time in like 20 years and made it about a half hour in and had to turn it off. I am amazed they were able to make Wrath of Kahn after that first on.

Yeah the first one wasn't that good. The Special FX were really cheesy - But for 1979 they must have been groundbreaking!
The problem is that Film is 24 frames per sec. Video is 30fps. Your eye has 6 more frames per sec to see the god awful mattes.

This may have been mentioned earlier in the thread, but I watched Operation Odessa on Netflix, and it is insane. It is a documentary about the Colombian Cartel attempting to buy a Russian submarine for drug trafficking. Some of the characters involved were all-time classics. It is one 90-minute episode.
