Is there a property in Vegas where you love the casino (layout, choice of tables/games, newest machines, good beverage service), but don't care for the accommodations?

PH. I really enjoy the scene in their casino, but as of my last stay, they didn't have anything even close to blackout blinds in the rooms. I hate waking up at some crazy early time from light shining in, especially if I went to bed like two hours earlier. The pants hanger sealing it shut didn't work because there was WAY too much light at the top and bottom.

Great question. Enjoy play at MSS, but over the stay. It's far clearer-cut if we flip it: Love staying at the JW Marriott, not a fan of Rampart.

4 Queens. I love the great vp and comps/rewards but the hotel rooms, even refurbished, are stuck in the 80s and don't muffle the Fremont St. noise.

Sadly, I have many places in Vegas where this is the case, and in both directions.

    Play but no Stay:
    PH
    NYNY
    Palms/GVR (for FP DDB)
    MSS
    MGM
    The D
    GG

    Stay but no Play:
    Aria
    Bellagio
    Park MGM
    Wynn/Encore

The D and GG for me. Love the atmosphere but the rooms are too noisy for me.

I like the Aria casino, but I don't like the standard room much, especially on the mountain side, cause you gotta look at these two buildings across the highway and I can't stand the cutouts in them, it's like nails on a chalkboard to my eyes, lol.

Linq for playing but not staying. I love the rooms at Caesars but haven't been a big fan of playing there. Although it has grown on me a bit especially some of the bartops.

    Sadly for me, NYNY.

One of the best casino vibes in town but damn, those rooms have needed a reno for literally a decade.

Longhorn. Not as huge on the casino anymore, since they bumped the $2 blackjack to $5, but I still quite like the casino itself and the cafe is actually pretty good. The rooms are about as below-average as you would expect though (no safes either). Not to mention that they can't hold bags for you... something I found out the hard way last December and was nearly made to have to pay for a second room night to store my bag in my room while I was out for the day after I checked out.

Also MSS. Excellent casino, love the comped beers on tap, but the room I had was just so depressing between the decor and the lighting. Awful wifi too. Cal's renovated rooms on the other hand, I'll take all day.

I love, love, love gambling at NYNY. But sadly I have to agree with the others on staying there.

I still stay there but I’m always looking for ways to play at NYNY but get back end comps from somewhere else.

Golden Nugget - love the rooms - best bed ever in Vegas. Can't play in the casino. Paris fantastic room hate the casino.

    NYNY.

On the flip side, I love the rooms & restaurants at Cosmo, but the casino layout just doesn’t do it for me.

NYNY has a great vibe in the casino be the rooms are dated and make it feel cheap. Could probably have a chance of being a 4 star property if they "refreshed" the rooms.

Looks like the power that be decided the Luxor needed it more. Can't disagree though.. Un"refeshed" Lux rooms are pretty bad and are more 2 star than 3..

Fremont Street generally. Great gambling, but the rooms are 3* at best (while I prefer 4 or 5).

I like the Palace Station casino but no way am I going to stay there.

Eventually you find some really nice spacious rooms somewhere and never want to return to some of the places you first went to when you first went to Vegas.
