Which CET casino for middle aged players?

You can gamble with all the old people you want at Caesars.

 

I guess I have a warped view of Caesars bc on club nights (Tues, Thurs, Fri , Sat) the area betweeb the Poker Room and towards the entrance near Omnia is filled with 20 something's.

 

I thought about this a bit more and realized that every casino caters to each age group.

it all depends on time of day . Of course the oldies are there 6-6 and the youngies are there the other 6-6.

as a grumpy 60 year old , don’t go to Pho at 11pm expecting quiet witty conversation and as a 20 something, don’t expect a frat house at buffet at 3 pm

 

We are in our late 50's and have stayed mostly at the Flamingo, mostly because of the host we used to have and we really enjoy the pool... until about noon when it starts to become a gong show. Most rooms have been renovated, they play good music throughout the casino, excellent experienced CW's and it's location is excellent. Haven't stayed at Planet Hollywood but have been there enough to know that it's very busy and attracts a younger demographic. I do they they have one of the best Diamond lounges.

We have stayed at Paris in an upgraded room which were very nice. The Diamond lounge often has lineups to get in. Excellent variety of gaming, good lounge bands that always sound good and very good dining options. The pool area is a little bland and is quiet compared to the Flamingo pool but also relaxing. There is a mixed age demographic. We have stayed in regular and upgraded rooms at Ballys. I find the rooms and the casino itself to be quite tired. I do think they attract an older demographic but I just can't spend much time there. Harrahs is also quite dated and tired but it's a hopping place, especially at the front of the casino where there is a bar/lounge with live music and a Ruths Chris. They have an excellent variety of slots to play including older more hard to find machines and if you're into VP, you'll love the selection. If you're a starbucks drinker, I find this location to be the least busy and good service. Have never stayed there so can't speak to the rooms. The Linq is geared towards a young demographic. Haven't stayed there so can't say anymore. CP is the gold standard. Rooms are nice, pools are very nice but get there early, food selection is great. Diamond lounge always seems to be packed. You will find an older crowd here.

There will soon be a day when we will likely move from our old standard of the Flamingo and it will probably be to CP or Paris.

I didn't notice any significant age difference between each casino's players.
Saw plenty of young (barely 21) players in CP, same for the hotel guests.

But if you go to off Strip, you clearly see the difference.
On the Strip, any place has old and young.

 

I'm in my late 50s and value a calm, quiet experience. In the past 3 years I've stayed at all the CET strip properties except Cromwell and Paris. As mentioned above, any property is relatively calm in the AM. This is why I prefer to gamble in the mornings and then a short VP session around happy hour. In the evenings I spend my time going to shows, so my experience with the evening crowds is pretty much passing through to get to my room.

Nonetheless, I have to agree with those that recommend Harrah's, Bally's, CP and especially Paris as being relatively calmer with a relatively older clientele. As Cardeater said, CP does have club kids, but they are indeed pretty much contained to the front of the casino. They've never bothered me because the few times I've played in the evening it was in the Forum casino or the Apostrophe bar by Rao's.

As far as any properties being "dumps", compared to Harrah's Gulf Coast, they are all in better shape and your friend should be pleased. As a hotel, I prefer Bally's (resort rooms, fridge, pool, less hall noise.) Harrah's actually has the newest rooms of any Vegas CET. All have been redone in the last 2 years. The only rooms I'd avoid are CP Forum rooms. They are ancient. If pool is important, skip Harrah's. As Paris & Bally's guests you have access both resorts pools without your feet hitting a sidewalk. CP pools are great.

 

We are in our early 60's and have stayed at Bally's last few trips and upcoming trip end of April. Love the location

 

Anywhere that middle aged person wants to gamble...

 

I am staying at Ballys on my next trip and I like the location but I am curious about the casino. I have walked through a number of times but can't recall ever really playing there. How are the table games there? The general casino atmosphere?

 

I think all CET properties are good for middle age. I’m consider myself middle age and stay at all their properties.

 

As Ralph Kramden once said........."Acting young ain't what keeps you young, but if you have some memories.....some good memories....of when you were young, that's what keeps you young". I consider "Billy" from Last Vegas to be my role model.....LOL.

Could be that the “geezer’s” like Harrahs because it the closest CET property to Casino Royale.

 

I’m way past middle age and been going to Vegas since the sixties. From the CET casinos I went from Caesars, PHO & the Linq to Harrahs & Rio and now going to Paris and next month to Bally’s. Hell, I’ll go anywhere where I can win! Lol

 

Wow, hmm,
in a reflective moment, I would say all of them.

As the trend is the younger crowd are clubbers
& not as much casino players.

 

Caesar's....if you said old.
Age should be irrelevant.
Tell us more about the experience you are trying to obtain.

The fancier the place, the richer the people will be in general. That said, most fancy places are full of older people. Just pointing out facts,

 

I'm 39 and love Planet Hollywood

 

Well, I work part-time for the government I think. My SS check gets deposited monthly. I like Planet Hollywood and Harrah's. Have no issue relating to the crowd at any CET property.
