But if you could get it to show 1 in 5 times or 1 in 4 times wouldn’t you do that?

Interesting as I am also a righty but prefer stick left.
Seems like a lot of you are there in Feb.

How many of you throw the dice backhanded? If I throw any other way it goes off the table.

I started setting dice about 2 years ago. I saw improved shooting almost immediately. I don't really believe in dc or di , but I'm gonna keep doing it. In my case I think it's mind over matter. I set fast so no delay. As someone said it part of the fun.

My throw is based on where I'm standing, but I don't really care where I stand at the table.

I suppose I prefer an underhand toss when feasible, but if straight out or thereabouts that's not possible, so it's then backhand. I do seem to lose more dice when shooting from straight out -- one bounce just beyond the pass line and out!

Either way, I just toss what the stick sends.

Even though most find it extremely annoying, I find it absolutely hilarious when someone takes more than a few moments to set the dice, does a windup ritual, rubs them on the felt, etc...then all of a sudden its like the dice caught FIRE and they rip them as fast as they can down the table.

or the guys that act like its street craps and shake the dice for 28 seconds to make sure they move properly.

    Hey, whatever works!!

I believe you can control bubble craps...lady next to me "threw" 3 hard 6 in a row. Too bad table max was 100 on the hardways!

(disclosure, this is a joke, I don't think you can control bubble craps for real)

@cjcjcj I know you state it is a joke but if you hang around a Bubble Craps machine, I think you will find a higher percentage of people who believe they can "influence" the bubble craps dice, than the regular dice at the table. Observe how many players at a dice table just casually throw dice down the table. Then compare the Bubble Craps players who stare at and seem to time the right moment to "Press the Button" ('come on, press the button').

Yes you can. Just cash out and re-insert the ticket. Or, just rub on the bubble.

One of the funniest, cutest, most innocent thing I ever saw at a craps table was when this young girl wanted to play. She had no clue what to do and when she walked up one of us had just sevened out so she just happened to be next to throw.

So the stickman handed her the dice, told her to pick two and throw.

So she picks up two, held it in her hand, shook her hand a couple of times, and dropped the dice right in front of her, as if she was playing monopoly.

We all busted out in laughter and she looks at us wide eyed with the "What did I do? What did I do?" look.

    I love playing craps,

☝️ I wish I could get my wife to repeat that first time every time. Hit like 3 or 4 points rolled for about 20 min. Lol

The first time my wife rolled the dice.... she completed an ATS. Did I have any money up on it? Of course not!

I have been a dice setter for years after a local elderly group, that regularly played craps at Palace Station, shared their tips with me. I was intrigued when I first encountered the group, because of their wagering pattern on each member of their group. Some had a tendency to throw a high percentage of hardways. And others that threw a high percentage of 6/8s In short, consistency is top priority when tossing the dice. Same wrist and arm mechanisms. Same tempo. In addition to tossing to the exact same spot on the table.

The biggest issue I have with dice control and that whole culture is really as follows (and I'm sorry if I piss you guys off)

#1 most people claiming it want you to pay for their lessons or sessions. They give you the basics but you better pay up for the perfect throwing lessons. (100% fair)

#2 The reproducibility from learning dice control is almost non existent from person to person. It has not been measured on a large scale and if it is it falls in the category of statistical probability (or slightly greater) so it's not even close.

#3 if you think for one second that precision throw is gonna put the casinos at risk to put the odds in your favor they would have banded it 100% by now.

#4 if I had a down pat and solid system and a perfect technique that I could somehow do even at least 20% of the time.... I would never share that with anyone and I would go around to every single casino in the country and absolutely rake in the dough all day every day.... vs offering paid $500 to 700 two day lessons on how to learn this technique and win at craps. Cause I would be making enough money and would never want to share that secret with anyone.

FD05A1DF-248E-43D0-A423-8EACFE1FC0AD.jpeg Been playing craps for over 25 years .Read every book and saw all the YouTube systems for setting and throwing.
I have a friend who has attended classes with Dominator and others.
Some of their stuff is on money management ,five count etc.
Not saying there is not something to it but for 99% of us it will never work based on variance of surfaces, throws, etc.
Personally ,I have shot long hands (20-60 min) when setting the dice and have countless PSO.
Also long hands not setting and countless PSO.

I average a couple days a month in different casinos.
I'll never gain the precision required.
So I will continue to set or just throw and hope for the best.
The picture is from a week ago where I was not setting .
BTW the most credible book I read on setting and control was by Stanford Wong a well know expert on casino play.
It’s been years since I read it but from what I remember, there could be some profit realized on horn bets and trying for a midnight .

To the OP ,as others have said ,the speed bumps are not for precision shooters but to stop sliders .
I played at a couple casinos in the Caribbean that have a mini bungee cord across the center of the table
