    https://www.tahoedailytribune.com/news/harveys-announces-41-million-renovation/

    • The projects will total more than $41 million and include renovation of all 519 rooms in the Lake Tower, new balcony suites, new casino bar and lounge and the completion of Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen Lake Tahoe.
    • The rooms are slated to be done in June 2020.

    Also mentioned in the article:
"Hell’s Kitchen has already taken 12,000 reservations and is taking more. It will debut in early January."

Chef Klaus had mentioned this at the Harrah's Holiday dinner last weekend. So I thought I would check it out & try to make a dinner reservation for Feb. when I plan to be there. No go. It was either 3:45PM or 10PM on Fri. or Sat.
So, if you want to dine there on a Friday or Saturday night you may want to book ASAP. I imagine whales can probably get a table any time they wish to go;)

I would be happy if they would just clean the lines for the Blue Moon beer kegs at their bars.
Multiple trip over multiple years, nasty draft :vomit:

Well, the new company ain't getting rid of Harvey's, unless they're spiffing it up first before putting it up for sale.

When I was there 2 weeks ago I enquired of several people in F+B and was told that Hells Kitchen was opening on Dec 28th but only accepting bookings from mid Jan. So maybe walk-ins for the soft opening over New Year will be possible.
I also had the Beef Wellington in the relocated Sage and asked if Gordon had demanded that they remove that from the menu once he opened or if they were planning on duelling Beef Wellingtons

@3544quebec That's funny! What did you think of the food at The Sage Room? I ate there a week ago and I thought the food, especially the prime NY steak, was sub par. I used to think The Sage Room had great food, better than Friday's Station, but I think that the meat quality for both has gone down hill in the last year or so.

@DaiLun Don't you think they would get rid of MontBleu if they have to sell one of their Tahoe properties?

I dined in both and preferred Friday's probably because the service was much better. The Beef Wellington in Sage was very good but having had some substandard steakhouse meals over the last 2 months I appreciated the perfectly cooked filet and lobster at Friday's.

I ate at Friday's last weekend. The service was just as good and I like the view, but the seafood broil portions has shrunk and the cost did not. Went from a about a 14 oz lobster tail to about 8oz.

When Shell and I were there in October we felt Sage was much better and that surprised us. We for one of the first time actually gave Friday’s Station a negative review on our survey. Our table was not fit for one person and one side backed up to a wall and that was my view, there were many other tables vacant. The prime rib was cold and the fat had hardened, Shell’s filet was good though. Service was alright and this was our 7* retreat. If the restaurant was full I could understand but it was all very bad. Sage all was excellent great soup salad and dinners.
Last time it was just the opposite so it is what it is we just fill out the surveys and let them know what we think.

We should have interrogated Chef Klaus about the restaurant food quality when we had the chance:wink2:

Didn't feel right criticizing a guy dressed as a Polar Express conductor to his face. Lol

I am so excited about the renovation of Harveys. We have stayed their several times and loved it. I hoping we can still get comped rooms after the renovations!

Boy this is great news. We're staying at Harveys in June but I've been worried about some of the reviews I've seen lately. Hopefully we'll score one of the upgraded rooms.

    Thanks for posting!
