Ardee’s *Back to the Future* Vegas Christmas Report 12/23-12/25

Wow, just catching up on your report. I have so much respect for the effort that went in to such a short trip, and it looks like it came out amazing!

It would be wonderful to meet you both also! Maybe one day the stars will align, lol! Meanwhile have a safe drive home and Thank You for sharing your Christmas trip with us!

 

A spectacular report, and the suite decorations and party spread are impressive, not to mention the disgruntled kitties at the beginning! Just wondering if there's a problem with your guests getting to the suite (I play at Cosmo but haven't stayed there) -- some hotels require room keys to access the elevators, so you'd spend a lot of time going down and up to escort people to the party.

 

Wasn't a problem for us, @serenasea. Most of our guests were staying at Cosmo anyway, so we just coordinated to meet and bring 'em on up when somebody texted to say they were at the elevator bank or on a certain floor without key access.
Wasn't a large gathering, so it didn't take a lot of time for everybody to get together.
Except for @luck.ofthe.draw, of course...but that's another story.

THANKS @ardee clan! I was preoccupied with not dying Jk jk I am so glad I got to see everyone. You are all fantastic - and yes, @MCann stole my lei. Jerk.

Hi guys. I know I promised slot adventures with Sonya and Retro but life today got in the way and I want to be sure to describe the amount of fun we had while playing the other night. Please forgive and I’ll deliver tomorrow.


In the meantime some rando things:


The get-together food under those chafing dishes consisted of sliders and buffalo wings, so don’t ever try to tell us we’re not classy.
Pizzas were so good. 4 different versions.
(Coming from the same place @Richard Alpert is still on the hunt for : Secret Pizza.)

-Veggie with bell pepper, onions and olives
-Pepperoni and sausage
-Tomato and Basil
-Mushroom and truffle oil (my favorite)

In case anybody else is interested in the Chelsea suite we were in:
-Microwave under the counter behind the bar
-Fridge under the counter (not pictured but it’s there)
-Shelf with glasses for serving guests
-Sink Behind the bar

 

Forgot we had cupcakes too. Thought I took a photo but can’t find. Sorry.
Red Velvet, Lemon Chiffon, Coconut Cream and Chocolate with vanilla frosting.
They were yummy, though. Trust me.

 

We also played a version of a Christmas/White Elephant grab where the husband and I threw a bunch of useless, pop-culture items into a Santa Sack and forced @Retrobabble to help us out with hosting the game.
Let’s just say @Sonya seemed quite pleased in her husband taking home the Snake Plissken eye patch with her directions of future adventures in role playing. Don’t blame me, guys. I’m just reporting the real news!
Lots of dog toys and Alien eggs, as well as a Ghostbuster doormat along with....well you get the picture...a lot of crap.
Many thanks to our guests for taking these treasures off of our hands and dumping them into the closest trash can as soon as you left.

Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. My pups will be told their gifts came from Auntie and Uncle Ardee. You and your hubby are as wonderful as I imagined you would be. @Retrobabble, you are as well beautiful lady! @luck.ofthe.draw is just as adorable as I imagined and our Queen of Ellis Island and her King are the best!! I hope to see our VMB family next Christmas <3
