    My Trip Report

Just getting around to writing a trip report,

Sadly, I didn't take a lot of pictures this week, but I did want to write a synopsis of our trip.

We had two nights at the Golden Nugget, and five at Paris comped.

Golden Nugget was first, a driver picked us up from the airport and it was really nice to
have someone waiting with my name on it. Reminded me of Vegas Vacation!

I still love Golden Nugget, stayed in the gold tower which opens up to the middle of the casino,
    love that!

I have to say though, it's getting so crowded in there are night that it is not as fun as it used to be.
Slots, well, I haven't won much of anything there in years.

I asked for a comp to the steakhouse, Vic and Anthonys, and I have to say, it was one of the
best meals I have every had, perfect service and love the dark, romantic atmosphere in there.

We played a lot at Four Queens, still love it there, and the D, hoping to build up play a little
in hopes of a room at Circa when it opens!

    My heart loves downtown!

Paris was great too though, rooms are a little dated but got a small suite.

Love the bar area with the white chairs and chandaliers! Slots, eh, pretty tight but did win some
    decent amounts there.

The Eiffel Tower restaurant was excellent, facing the strip and fountains, I can't recommend it enough
for a splurge meal. It was amazing to see the view while eating.

The burger place there was also very good, and the desserts were to die for!

The diamond lounge was nice, but packed! Everytime we checked in there was a line and
once we waited about twenty minutes and managed to get it. Great benefit if you don't mind a
long wait, but guess there are a lot of people wanting to get it, it's Vegas.

We love we can walk to Ballys without going outside, and I did manage again, to hit a handpay
    on the Walking Dead there.

It's dated in there, but still has an atmosphere, and they have Mississipi Stud there which I love to play!
Sadly, CET has changed all of their bonus bets for the progressives to $5, ouch! That's why I try to play it downtown at Four Queens, the bonus bet is only $1 fyi.

We were going to take Lyft to Caesars due to walking issues, it was going to be 13 bucks, so we just took a cab. I was shocked to find out they only charge 6 bucks!

Did my freeplay at Caesars high limit and managed a 1800 handpay at the Dancing Drums machine!
Drink service in there was spot on, Paris drink service was not great, it was a twenty minute wait if
you did get to place and order, and if the waitress came back.

On Friday we went back downtown to double dip freeplay and food at The D and Golden Gate as it
was the beginning of a new month.

Golden Gate is nice in there, small, but nicely done. Couldn't hit a thing so moved on to the D.

Yes, loud music, but it's got a vibe in there. Won my matchplay and headed upstairs to the old machines.

I actually hit my first Royal on the super times pay machine! AT 50 cents a bet, no multiplier on super times pay, but it was a nice relief to the budget.

Andriamos is very good, great service, with the free food comp it was great! Nothing near Vic and Anthonys or the Eiffel Tower restaurant, but very good.

I wanted to let VMB members know one thing. At CET properties, I have always cashed checks free,
they now charge the same fees as if you went to the ATM for a cash advance! I was so mad about this,
I cash checks free at GN and The D and they don't charge a dime!

My host reimbursed me the charge in freeplay. Sigh. I was about to leave to go home, I got 125 in promo chips, so decided to go big on my way out the door.

They were $25 dollar chips, and I know that I bring a lot of 0/00 on roulette usually, so placed a few on numbers and $50 between the two zeros.

Guess what? 0 hit! I was glad to get some take home money and it left one chip so I put it back on there.
    This time, 00!!!

I tipped the guy $25 and walked out. A nice 1200 profit to use on the next trip!

As a Degen Vegas lover, already talking about a late Dec or Jan trip again!

Funny how we get home and can't wait to plan the next one!

That's funny someone else does too!!!

I forgot, with my 100 matchplay, I put it on red and won. Then I took about fifty, placed it on a few numbers and ten between the
    zeros. 0! haha

Guess I am a jinx to other players at the table, but if it hits a lot, it sure is fun!!

Can't wait for the next trip, already dreaming....

Great trip report and glad you hit on your way out the door...

We love down town and had been staying at the Golden Nugget since Wynn owned the place.... Have to admit I hardly ever won anything there though... most of the time we played over at Binion's when that place was the place to play.... Loved the late night cheap steak dinners they used to have there

But down town is our favorite place to be in Vegas.....

I was surprised at your comment about the rooms being dated. Are there suites that haven't been redone yet? My understanding was that all the rooms had been redone. I can't even see Red rooms or the older rooms any longer on my log-ins.
