I am a couple weeks away from my trip to LV and staying at the Linq. Seeing lots of not so good reviews? Is it really bad? Anyone stayed there recently? Want to give a review?

I like it. Great location. Rooms are nice and clean for the most part. Pool view room is nice. If you need a pen and paper ask for it at check in. I hear there might not be any in the room. Make use of the extra set of elevators around the corner from the main set. Use room service or get a room check from some rude hotel security at a time of their choosing.

I liked it quite alot. I had a pool view room. The room was smallish and bland; but it was quiet, clean and everything worked. All rooms have a fridge. Casino easy to navigate. Great location. Excellent for monorail. Limited dining in hotel, but Linq promenade is right out the door. ^^^^ Second the elevator advice ^^^^^ I'd stay again.

Cant comment on the rooms but food choices are above flamingo/ballys and the casino is more lively IMO. LOVE their new sports related area. You hosting a party in the room? If not youll be getting what you paid for---a room for a good night sleep and a running toilet and shower. I dont blame you for you inquiring because Im always nervous to stay in a new place but the most recent trips I dont let it ruin my mood. As long as the bed is comfy and shower is hot and toilet flushes my poo----Im happy.

We were there in April. The room was newly renovated as most of them are. It was a nice room but we had a bad view of the parking garage which didn't hinder our sleep. It was also an upgraded room, had the living room divider. The shower had that weird no door half entrance kind of thing. Also, a few of the elevators were out of service so it was a big pain getting up and down from the room. Luckily for us, we were on the third floor, so we sometimes took the stairs which smelled like urine. Overall, it was okay. I'd give it a C.

A couple years ago, I stayed in one of their unique rooms with a bunk bed. It was fun when The wife & I (bunked with our grandson and granddaughter). It actually was quite fun for two nights.

Never stayed there but like the casino and food options. They did an amazing job of turning an eyesore into a hotspot.

I would suggest doing a video walk through of rooms. Not just at Linq, but at any hotel you're considering, as what's OK for one is not for another, and what's bad for one is fine for another. Have a blast!

I stayed there a few weeks ago. Rooms are in the smallish side. Nothing special but looks new with modern furnishings. I got the Linq wheel view in the back so no noise problems there except the long walk from the elevators which is fine. As already stated above and in numerous threads, the biggest complaint is the elevators. They are on the slow side and sometimes quite the wait going up and down your room. Also, I do see long lines for check-ins but if you're diamond/7* they have a separate, much quicker line. But there are lots of positives though - I like the overall vibe of the place especially in the evenings. They have live entertainment at night. O'Shea's is always fun too. Lots of food options inside the property and along the promenade. As far as gaming - video poker machines are scarce (mostly bar tops), they got rid of a few table games but did add several new slot machines. Although the sports book viewing area is nice, I probably won't go to the couch seating since I'm cheap and don't want to pay club style table/bottle service. Lastly, the location is great, only a few steps away from Flamingo on one side and Harrah's on the other if you ever get bored and want to try the other casinos.

Ok rooms this past August. I say rooms because we started with one of those bunk bed rooms that we didn't have a need for, and since the room smelled some, we changed to a higher up one. Decor was fine, but both rooms had this loud-as-hell AC unit fan. Don't think I'd stay there again just because of the noise factor alone.

Rooms are decent (it's not a Cosmo wraparound, but you know that going in), and the casino floor is a lot of fun, plus the promenade is right there with a ton of great attractions and dining. The thing about the casino is that it's used by Caesars as sort of a lab for their new initiatives (the VR installation, the video games, the sportsbook, etc.) so it's less like a traditional casino floor than you'll find elsewhere on the Strip.

I suspect that perhaps the reviews might not be stellar because expectations are too high. It's a completely remodeled and redone property. Maybe people think that will mean a Cosmo or Wynn experience. It certainly isn't either of those properties, but its location and newness make it a terrific value. Keep your expectations reasonable and I'm sure you will find it just fine. Have a great time!

Just home from 2 nights there (I left early) and I really did not like it. The elevator situation was just insane on the weekend....and the ones in back? I could only see that they went to 5th floor? And then what? Everyone packed into whatever opened up as they were so upset with waiting. Room was "spartan". I asked for quiet, and got it. (no view). The ice bucket was so teeny.....enough ice for 2 drinks!! The crowds (including check in) were crazy. Maybe just the weekend I picked, but I will not be back.

You take those elevators to the 5th floor and there more elevators on the 5th floor to take you to your floor. But yeah, the elevators are why I wouldn't be back to the linq.

For a first timer: Location, location, location, and Linq's location cannot be beat.
Stayed at the Imperial Palace (now Linq) on my very first trip to LV, and despite crappy rooms (at the time) and the slowest elevators in Vegas, do not regret the pick one bit.

Pros: Location, casino vibe, food options, fridge in rooms

Cons: Small rooms, slow elevators, elevators are linked to room key, the shower with built in pump dispensers of shampoo etc.

The elevators are bad as is but imagine being on the other side of a full elevator and not being able to ask someone to hit your floor because you have to scan your room key to get the 12th floor. Pain in the ass.

And you don't get alot of time to get the room # in after scanning your key (which is ok normally, but tough when crowded). So even if people tried to push the button seconds after the scan, it did not work. I rode with several people who never got their room # entered. It was just too frustrating to wait so long and then try to jam in just to get upstairs. Reminded me of the old D situation.

Elevators can get nuts, even the "secret ones" around the back. That's the only reason I wouldn't stay there again. It's one thing to wait for an elevator, but you'll be hanging out with a bunch of other idiots in line thinking hey we'll all wait our turn like rational people and then the elevator doors open and out of nowhere a group of 20 people appear and just steamroll through and force their way on before the people in the car can even get out of the thing. And then once you actually get up to your room, good luck getting back down. The later it got, the longer you had to wait for a car to stop that had enough room for you to cram yourself in to. One night I waited over 20 minutes. And then you finally get on and it stops. On. Every. Single. Floor. where you get to stare out with empathy at a sad face seeing yet another full car just like you were moments ago. Don't worry little buddy, you'll make it down too someday. Maybe.

I actually really liked my room. Just a basic king room, but it had a big fridge, and the design made it feel pretty spacious. I still liked it even when I opened the drapes and looked directly into the parking garage. The location is great too. If they add elevators or figure out some sort of traffic management solution it'd probably become my new Caesars home base.

Random aside: I wasn't a fan of the soap/shampoo dispensers but I guess that's becoming the new norm now.
