    My Trip Report

Below - The BR at night!

My wife and I just came back from another fun trip to the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. We had a great time! The trip was on one of the junkets that the MGM offers. This was our second junket trip to the BR.
The junket included round trip air from the TF Green Airport in Rhode Island to the Gulfport/Biloxi International Airport in Gulfport, Mississippi, a bus shuttle from the airport to the BR and back to the airport, four nights at the BR and $50 in Freeplay. All of this for only $50! How can you beat that?
The BR was as nice as ever. It is one 1st class resort with a lot to offer.

My neighbors have left 4 to 5 Las Vegas trips a year behind to go on the junkets from Chicago to Beau Rivage. I believe they go to Biloxi on 4-5 free junkets a year instead. They've said it's now they're favorite. Now, the only way to get them to Vegas again is only if there is special occasion & visiting friends. I'm thinking about going down there in the future. From what I've heard and read, it may be worth a try. Glad you had a great time. As my friends say, "there is a lot to like."

While I was at the BR there was an incredible car show called "Cruisin' The Coast" throughout Biloxi. One of the highlights of this big event was vintage sports cars driving up and down the main drag that the BR and other casinos are on. It went on all day. It was a thrill to see all of these amazing cars driving around.

Below - Two cars on display in front of the BR's main entrance. The blue 1955 station wagon belongs to the governor of Mississippi and the sportscar once belonged to Dean Martin.

On our first morning at the BR we had a nice breakfast in their 24 hour restaurant, The Terrace Café. Everything was delicious. After breakfast we walked up to the Biloxi Lighthouse and pier. It's around a 15 minute walk from the BR. You could see the lighthouse and pier from our room.

On Friday, the second day of our trip, we casino hopped. First we walked next door to the Hard Rock and then took the Casino Hopper down to the Palace Station Casino for breakfast. We had a nice breakfast in Stacked. After exploring the Palace Station we walked over to the Golden Nugget. Maybe a 10 to 15 minute walk?
Friday night we saw the Beach Boys at the BR. They were fantastic!!! The BR's theater is excellent. Not a bad seat in the house!

Early Friday evening we had a buffet dinner at the BR. Earlier in the day I was checking my info on one of the casino's kiosks and it said I had a free buffet. My wife had a free buffet too. So, supper was free! Yeah!
On Saturday night we had dinner in Stalla. Stalla is their Italian restaurant. Our dinner was excellent. My wife had soup for an appetizer and ziti with three large scallops for her meal. She loved it. I had the antipasti for one for my appetizer and some red snapper on top of risotto for my entree. It was excellent! My wife also had wine and I had a beer that was brewed in Natchez, Mississippi. I recommend Stalla.

Now the videopoker! I mostly played at the Breeze Bar where they have quarter 8/5 JOB. I also played a little at TAP Sports Bar where they have quarter 8/5 JOB. These machines have dollar 9/5 JOB games on them too. I also played some 7/5 JOB games near Stalla. I did play some BP and DBP, but not too much. I sometimes upped my play to 50 cent games when I was doing good on the quarter games. They have progressive games at the Breeze Bar and a man hit the royal for a little over 2K. Good for him! I played around six to seven hours of video poker a day for the full days I was there and around 2 hours on the morning of the last day I was there. I did not have a winning trip, but I had fun chasing that royal. My wife didn't have a winning trip either, but like me still enjoyed her trip.

I love Biloxi. They have are some great restaurants and bars there. I even enjoy just looking out the window at the Gulf views. I would go more often but spouse just tolerates it to please me. He is a LV loyal. He will not play locally although we have six casinos.

    Your photos are great.

great pictures. I love Biloxi and the BR. Have stayed there 4 times and the Hard Rock once.

The junkets are great...super organized and easy! I think I "burned" my junket offers by going so many times on my own as I do not get them anymore.

Usually flew into New orleans MSY and drove the 70 minutes~ to the Beau.

Awesome pics. Love the cars! Makes me want to plan a Biloxi trip.

Nice report Tag. You can see why I like Biloxi and the Beau so much. I am leaving on one of those junkets the 23rd of Oct and then my wife and I go back 7 December for some shows, the Christmas boat parade and of course gambling. We need to plan meeting there sometime.

j52chips, thanks for your response! I can understand why your neighbors enjoy the Beau Rivage. There really is a lot to like.

Nancyf, I hope you get to go on an MGM junket to the Beau Rivage. The Beau is a classy resort with a lot of fun things to do. I'm glad you liked my photos.

Sue24, I got my best play in the Beau. I have not been to the IP or Boomtown yet, but I hear they are good.

RedRiverRose, I hope you get to return to Biloxi in the near future. I love it like you do. I'm glad you enjoyed my photos.

John151, the airlines was Sun Country. I believe the plane was a 737.

Ty, it seems these junkets to the Beau fly out of a lot of different states. While I was there I talked to people on junkets to the Beau from Texas, Minnesota, Florida and Kentucky.

cjcjcj, these junkets are super organized and easy. No stress! I didn't know the classic cars were going to be there. It was a nice bonus to the trip.

j52chips, you should give the Beau a try. I bet you would enjoy it!

Lorraine, I am glad you enjoyed my report. I have enjoyed your posts on the Beau.

Flyguy, have fun and good luck on your October 23 trip and then again on your December trip! I bet the Christmas boat parade would be fun to see. It would be nice to see you someday.

I am glad that you had fun down here on the coast. The Beau really is a nice property. I haven't been in there in three weeks (a lot of out-of-town football trips lately) but plan on getting down there next week. I am glad you got to see some of Cruisin The Coast. We spent most of that week watching the cars from our balcony. They announced that they set another record for cars registered this year. Over 8,700 antique and classic cars registered. I am sure several thousand more just came and rode around without registering.
I agree with you about Stalla. It is a great restaurant. A few of us feel that they have a better steak than BR Prime. Please come visit us again soon.
