Thinking about going the week after CES. Hoping to catch NFL Playoffs, CBJ, and College Football National Championship.

This will be the first time we have went when pools are closed and my wife loves a couple hours at the pool each day.

Palms is putting a dome over their pool for the winter. Just keep in mind it'll be a day club some days. I think the Platinum Hotel does as well (really basic). Not aware of any directly on the Strip, though.

Tropicana had glass doors that slid to close in part of the pool and a hot tub....look online and see if they still have it. Also, Paris pool is outside but heated...we've gone in it in November and December.

I’ve heard Paris is open year round. However, I haven’t tried before. I’m planning a January trip during same timeframe and my check it out.

Was at Aria last week and my wife inquired about the pool.
We will be there over NYE.
They told her pools are open all year ,one is heated.
I’ve been there in Jan and saw people swimming.
The server at the SkyPool told her they serve hot chocolate and give blankets out.
She can find me in the casino.

I have been at Ballys & Paris in the winter before and pool has been open. At Ballys I had room signage that their pool was closed but Paris was open. (Weather permitting).

The Imperial Palace had the Luv Tub open all winter if you booked one.

    I miss them.

I can vouch for these to have at least one pool open in the winter (baring severe winds or other unforeseeable weather events):
Bellagio, Mirage, Wynncore, CP, Aria, Vdara, Mandalay Bay.
The weather around New Year is mostly perfect for jacuzzi and sunbathing. For me, even the ‘heated’ pools don’t cut it that time a year.
If this sort of relaxation is important to you and your party, I would consider a hotel with good indoor spa amenities so you can do all the pool-like activities independent of the weather.
