    Story time..

The regular line to the gold strike buffet on Friday and Saturday nights is over an hour long. They put in a seafood spread. Like $35/person.

They have a shorter line for platinums, etc.

Platinums also get a $75 monthly credit to the buffet.

I get up to the cashier and of course "step in front of somebody". They don't say that but after waiting in line for an hour, I'd think that..

So I charge my buffet to the room. I get $100/day food anyway.

I sign my name and tell the couple, put your credit card away, your dinners on me and pay with the platinum credit.

    Made their day.

"There are good people left in the world" he exclaimed.

    ---------

Now I'm in the room preserving my win

Is Tunica the closest casino to Nashville? If my husband drags me along to see his friend next year - I’m telling him to drop me off along the way.

You made the right decision! Pretty rainy at Lambeau on Sunday, and you would have witnessed your team lose. I was well-prepared (wearing my fishing rain gear), and got to see the Pack notch another victory to go 3-0 (thanks to the defense). Rain or not, Lambeau is always a blast, but Tunica ain't bad either!

Nice meeting you also JPW. Glad to see you had a win. I actually just got home yesterday. I was there almost 6 weeks at sams camprgound. Would have commented earlier but only have a dumb phone. Hope to see you again down there one day. Also enjoyed this report. Good luck in Vegas.

Wonderful report. Classy move with the buffets - many would just let the credit burn and not share.

Do you ever end up burning up any of your Express Comps? Or only in Vegas? With a room credit and a buffet credit it seems like it would be hard to burn any up in a regional casino. (I know at Harrahs in Council Bluffs I expected to spend all my money out of pocket on food because I had used all my RCs in Vegas - instead I hit a 10x or so multiplier on their RC promo - paid for all my food and still went home with over $130 in RCs lol. Wish my regional was not Tribal & was a CET or mLife).

Actually, I tend to burn my express comps more in Tunica, then in Vegas. They are usable at the gift shop in Tunica, so I bring my wife home some Gold Strike Swag every trip. I buy it at the beginning of the trip, and earn the EC's back while there.

I never really seem to eat up my food allowance in LV to need to use the EC's
