    wow.

I bought some gummies too. Opened them up and put them in a couple of baggies (just in case). Kept the container as a souvenir. No problem at all going through security.

The main thing they are looking for at the airport is bombs and guns. They dont want to waste their time and resources to bust you for some pot. Now a suit case full of pot or cartridges I am sure they would want to chat to you about that.

I don't know if this has been covered before but if there was a local person on this board that wanted to get leftovers donated then it seems he or she would be set for some time.

A friend of mine likes bringing the hard candy’s back. How many is a lot? He’s brought back 10 before.
Was thinking about 30. Does that make him a mule?

The best way of bringing any of these items through the airport is to not have them in the original packages. Vape cartridges are in clear plastic tubes, you just put them in your toiletries kit or other items and they really don't know if it is a cannabis item or just nicotine. For those who do not want the vape or smoke there are so many choices out there including THC tablets, hard candies, instant coffee, tea bags etc that TSA is not going to hassle you unless like others have said your carrying a large amount that it gets flagged. As for flower buds that is a different story, they may or may not get flagged but the risk is much greater. Again like many have said TSA is not looking for someone with a cartridge or candies etc they are focused on other things.

    No issues a week ago.

As we were boarding the plane a stewardess announced that they found a pen on the floor, "not the sort of pen you write with if anyone lost such a thing". I couldn't see if anyone claimed it, haha.

30 won't be an issue. I have friends who have brought back multiple candy bars, gummies, candies and mints in a single trip. Just repackage them and your friend will be good to go.

this makes me so very, very sad.

1 - they really do not care or fine them
2 - If they did, you MIGHT have to throw them out.

3 - Read back through posts here before your next trip. Most of my friends, take back a month or two worth of supplies.

Yeah I fucked up. I carry a folded up windbreaker in my backpack which would have been perfect to slip some gummies in.

What if: a joint in it’s tube, a bag of gummies, and some cookies, in my backpack, in the windbreaker? What are my odds?

If you read many, and I mean MANY of the posts here - no problem with carryon. Less with checked, but possible.

As far as I know, there are no TSA sniffer dogs that are looking for drugs at McCarren. It's a low priority for them. Their main concern is explosives.

So, edibles are very unlikely to be detected, period. Flower (bud) smells a lot more, depending on how it is packaged, you would not even need a dog to smell that. That is riskier in my opinion.

Oil cartridges would be about the same as the gummies, unless they are labeled as THC and they do a manual search, the chances of them being found in your luggage is small. Many people vape nicotine which is legal and looks very similar.

    Edibles are the lowest risk.

Even if they do find it and unless you have a large amount, the most that will probably happen is that they discard it (or keep it LOL).

I have carried back edibles, disposable vape pens and pre-rolls back Milwaukee and Midway 4 times now and have had no problem with checked bags.

A friend of mine carried the better part of a quarter of flower in his checked suitcase: Jyarz smell-proof jar, in the toiletries bag with a tin of mints mysteriously spilled inside, flying back to another legal state. No issues., YMMV.

Your friend increased the chance of getting caught by putting in checked bag. There are drug sniffing dogs in the checked baggage areas (but not in the TSA checkpoints).

Still the chances are very, very low.

    Not a mule, but maybe a ......

Now he has to go back to Vegas within 30 days to refill his stash.

People we know bring back enough for husband/wife for 60 days. You do the math.

Not airport related, but how about cruise ships? I figure on bringing a disposable vape and some edible gummies in my carry on. Any advice appreciated. Does not seem to be an issue from the probing I have done on the net.
