    My Trip Report

Waiting to pick up my bags at Mccaren. My initial plan of starting this on my layover was immediately squashed by a delayed flight and the nightmare that is Pearson airport. Heading downtown for 2 nights then to Planet Hollywood for 3, all comped. Looking forward to some VP downtown, my first coupon run, a few shows and some good food. My only plan for this report is to not completely abandon it like the last one lol. Wish me luck![IMG]

Made it to the cal. Very impressed with the room..only stayed at mss in the past. Have done very little play with boyd so happy to get 2 nights comped. I'm completely exhausted but gonna try to rally and play for a bit. Food first though![IMG][IMG]

Had the oxtail soup at market st cafe. I love me some soup, pho and ramen are some of my favourite foods. This soup is really worth the trip if you're downtown. So good. Lost $100 at boars head with not even a quad to show for it, had a few beers and bummed around on slots losing another $100.$40 buffalo bonus was the best I did. Won my $10 match play at the cal on roulette so the first coupon stop was a win. 3 beers and almost 24 hours awake later I'm calling it quits. Will be hitting the drinks and gaming hard tomorrow. Looks like the start of a great report. I am staying at your exact same places in the next couple of months, just on two separate trips! Good luck and looking forward to following along! Have fun...

Starting the day off right with a solid breakfast at skyline. Best 1.95 I ever spent. Gonna do a little shopping in Henderson and basically kill a few hours so I'm not completely wasted by 2pm haha[IMG]

At the plaza relaxing playing some bingo. Won $60! Woohoo. Gonna grab some lunch shortly then find a bar to camp out at and watch the MLB all star game. Played a board head for a bit earlier, ended up $20 but still no quads!

So far 1/2 on my boyd match plays we will see how i make out at the plaza

Plaza was good to me, 3/3 on my match plays on roulette and actually enjoyed bingo way more than I thought I would. Got 67 free games on harley Davidson at 3x. The final win was underwhelming but absolutely no complaints for an 80 cent bet. Up for the day which I don't think I've ever been able to say in vegas haha. Of course it's only 3pm [IMG]

Had an awesome happy hour lunch at pizza rock. Ordered a 32oz pbr though and my canadian brain had no idea what I'd done. I would never leave a beer unfinished though.

After that bopped around dt and had literally the best gambling day of my life. Won almost every match play, and never bombed on slots despite having no big wins. Still no quads on vp but played at the vue bar for quite awhile watching the all star game. I am not up a ton of money but the fact that I have played all day, drank freely and had an awesome time means I'm thrilled : )

After my mad run through dt and annoying every players club I have to give props to the plaza. Their customer service was amazing throughout. I am a novice on the tables and their staff were super helpful without making me want to run and never return. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

ended up with a $20 bbq comp for binions from the app so grabbed dinner there. No disrespect to the people earning tons of comps from that app but for me it was absolutely not worth the time and after I earned the $20 worth I called it quits. Service was excellent, the beer was good, the bbq was clearly reheated from some unknown source but was definitely edible and considering it was free it's all good. I had the brisket.

Now back in my room flossing my teeth after the corn on the cob. Throwing some $$$ in the safe as I am absolutely drunk at this point and trying to save some money for the strip. Gonna have a drink or two and hit up main st station. Love the cal rooms but not a fam of the casino. [IMG]

Had a weird interaction at mss. After winning my $10 match play on roulette she only paid me $10. After pointing out I was shorted she argued it was only a $5 match play( doesn't exist in the lva coupon book i used) either way i had played $10 in chips so no matter what the match play was I was shorted. Basically made me feel like a asshole after finally giving me the correct pay.

Players that demand correct pays are never assholes.
(in my book at least, caveat emptor)
and if a dealer bet/tip doesn't put it behind you screw 'em

    also,
there's good ramen at the noodle house and don't sleep on aloha specialties. I'd recommend you try a mix plate.
There's also saimin at both aloha and the cal Cafe.

Slow morning lol. Lazed around before grabbing some lunch at the mss buffet a d had one last go at boars head. Broke even but I remain quadless.

Went to the rio and got a ticket for Penn and teller tonight with my diamond voucher. Have a reservation for mesa beforehand that I am very excited about, never eaten there.

Just checked into planet hollywood. They seemed very busy so I didnt have much hope for an upgrade but tried the $20 trick anyway. No upgrade but got an excellent view of the fountains so I'm happy. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
