Dining before MJ One Show

We're going to the 9:30 show. Would like to hear where you ate before the performance. A to Z suggestions please.

 

At Mandalay, my favs are Burger Bar, Kumi, and Aureole

 

We have had good food at many places at M-Bay.

Citizens - bit more casual, but good
House of Blues - cool atmosphere. Lots of fried stuff if I remember - which I really don't
Fluer - though that is usually our lunch stop when we are there, but have done dinner
Red Russia or whatever it is... good, different
Italian across from there was good

 

Kumi- favorite sushi place in Vegas

 

The italian place is Lupo. Its solid, but nothing spectacular IMO.

And the russian place is Red Square. I was really disappointed the one time I ate there last summer (I think I wrote about it in a TR). The decor was interesting. But the food wasn't good. Still, YMMV

 

We did small plates at mix/sky fall on perfect evening outside.

Food filled us up and drinks kept us relaxed

 

There is always Border Grill if you are in the mood for Mexican.

 

By far the best pre meal for MJ ONE is Charlie Palmer Steak in the four seasons (attached to Mandalay Bay). Cut of the week deal which includes starter salad, steak and two sides, plus desert and bottomless wine for $58.00 per person! Fabulous meal. The only restaurant I hit every trip!

 

Do they offer the COTW at their bar? I checked OpenTable and couldn’t get a Sunday reservation....

 

Rivea was excellent. Great food, service and views.

 

Big fan of Kumi after my last trip. Solid sushi and cooked food. The pop rocks sushi was very interesting.

 

I have never eaten at the bar but I don't see why not. Your issue is that they are not open on Sundays which is why you can't get a reservation.
