Thanks! Two quick nights there to enjoy the pool and some of Mandalay bays old slots (pretty sure the only casino in Vegas with slotsky) and then 3 comped nights at Wynn to experience that for the first time. Usually cosmo is our stay of choice as my host treats me very well but this trip is less about gambling and more about the rest of Vegas so I don't have to worry about comps

@Multifarious5 - don't let the all white rooms sway you against staying there. The Delano rooms are very nice and worth giving a shot, especially if you already like staying and playing at MB.

I am grinning @spicole, because you are a big part of why I booked Delano... I've read over and over you love it, and your feedback means a lot to me.

The only reason I cancelled this time is proximity. Last trip I was in Bellagio's spa tower (which is a hike) and I wound up bringing down more $$$, so of course I spent more, being a pinnacle of discipline. I just want to walk the floor next time to see how far the Delano rooms are from the casino.

Anytime you give something a glowing thumbs up, I listen, because your favorites tend to mirror my favorites, so I may just have to give Delano her day in court! :)

The walk is quicker for sure at Delano. Plus you don't have to battle the crowds that the Bellagio has.

This is the first ever trip to Vegas that I actually want to use the pool. I also like the idea of not feeling obligated to play at one casino because of comps and future comps

I always stay in Mandalay Bay because we like their spa. I know that Delano has its own spa, but I am afraid we won't like it as well. I believe I read before that guests of Delano can use the spa at Mandalay Bay, but can anyone confirm?

Yes, both spas are available for guests of both hotels IIRC.

i have stayed at both, but prefer Mandalay because of the quick proximity to the pool and also to the tram station.

We probably won't wander too far from the property.. We've always been central strip so this will be different for us. I like MB slot selection just never get down there much

One of the benefits of the property is you have plenty of options with MB, Luxor and Excalibur all being connected, and so can really not need to wander far.

One of the reasons I also have stayed in various properties is I feel like it gives me a different Vegas experience to be staying on different parts the strip. I tend to use it to go to restaurants and shows that I might not otherwise go to. I'm now looking at a Mirage trip later this year, as I've never stayed there, and it has been awhile since I've been to some properties on the northern part of the strip.

Excited to see what you think! We are trying Delano in July. We really enjoyed MB, so would like to be able to compare the two for future trips.

Yes, I always stay at Delano and use Mandalay Bay's spa (however, I'm not sure if it's reciprocal for Mandalay Bay Guests at Delano's spa). Delano spa is nice and modern looking, but I didn't like the setup at all.
