HA! I guess that isn't clearly defined at this point but we can be heroes to each other.

Eliza, you beat me to the punch. I was going to say the same thing.

BTW. After dinner, I went yelping back to JoB. I rode the variance monster, and survived the experience without killing my bankroll. Discretion is the better part of valor.

Discretion? Valor? I know naught of which you speak.

I kept firmly on board the variance wagon and lost $50 during my last session.

Realized it was going to be loud for another hour or so on Fremont Street, so back to the ABC store for a couple spiked seltzers to enjoy in my room.

Pocket dump tells me that in terms of cash on hand - I’m up $110 for today. Which puts me up $10 for the trip so far. #Winning. This ignores the $325 in FP I used and the $170 cash back I took at ElCo. Gamblers’ math is the best math.

Tomorrow’s plans - more of the same: VP, hockey, booze, maybe Craps, maybe Pizza Rock.

So many close calls on the royal! Have a feeling one is coming through soon.

Yesterday, at Ocean, I lost $500 on JoB. Horrible. But, then I won $525 on craps. Yay. Moral of the story: When one is pretty bad, the other is usually pretty good.

She's roughly on pace if she's posted all quads and all royal misses so far. I've counted 15 quads and 12 royal misses. With 15 quads, I'd expect 13.76 royal misses.

A royal miss of any type is almost as frequent as a quad.

I think I had 19 quads and maybe 4 or 5 near misses over the weekend. Maybe this is why I haven't had a RF since 1991. :D

Some of them are sure. But I did mean every royal miss seen, even those where it was impossible to get a royal to begin with. Like holding a high pair and ending with 4 to a Royal. Can't get a royal when holding a pair.

Lazy morning reading in bed. Finally my stomach forced me in the direction of Magnolias. But first a pit stop for a little Baileys and coffee and $1 JoB.

While I was playing, I got a call from one of the hosts at URComped - they were able to use my cruise cert to get me a balcony cabin for a seven day Alaska glacier cruise in September. I’ve been promising to do an Alaska cruise with my dad for years - I’m finally making good. I’m super excited.

Doubled up my hundy buy in at JoB and finally in line for Magnolias breakfast (lunch, whatever).

I’m pretty sure I’ve posted all quads - I missed a few near Royals, but overall I’m pretty on target. It feels like it’s been forever since my last royal, but I’m sure it hasn’t even been two cycles. And I was over-royaled during the early part of last year, so a drought was due.

Ugh! New job called. In good news I passed all of the various background, fingerprinting, drug tests. In bad news, they need a copy of my social security card. In between all of my moves over the last decade, I'm not certain where my card ended up. I think I know where it is, but by the time I get home from this trip if it isn't there I won't have time to get a new one. So new plan - gambling today at QQQQ and watching Penguins' last gasp then off to Henderson tonight. Tomorrow morning I'll borrow a car from Aunt and Uncle and take a field trip to the friendly, local SSA office and get a new card ordered. Luckily, I'm travelling with my passport (thanks MO for taking so long to issue my new DL), otherwise I'd be super stressed right now about how to get this straightened out.

Hammered through a little over $10,000 coin in on $JoB and finished the day up $15. Uncle was out and about - called and offered to pick me up, so I bolted up to the room, packed, cashed out my points for $360, and bid farewell to the QQQQ.

Plan for tonight is wine, food, family, and hockey. Tomorrow morning is SSA, maybe Skyline to see if their 7x VP from 9-12 is good on bartop VP, maybe some other Henderson local joints and then checking into Plaza at some point.

Woo! That's how you start a hockey game!

(This may be my only moment of hockey related joy this post-season, I'm going to enjoy it!)

    Time for a beer.

$10k coin-in sans Royal and still ahead before comps, that's a good day! Keep the winning going!

And that joy was indeed short lived. Sigh.
