Probably the worst comp offer I’ve ever gotten

    Umm... gee, thanks Cosmo

Go All Out to Stay In with 2 Complimentary Nights

Guess I just pick two random non-connected nights?

To be fair, I have definitely not played enough to get decent offers there, but I really don’t understand the point of even sending this offer if there are no consecutive nights available (not to mention only 5 nights total over the course of 2 months)

Cosmo is pretty bad for this if you barely make the comp room threshold. Some CET offers can be this way too. Sucks.

Both my husband and I got offers like this from Cosmo too. We each have a few more nights that yours but no 2 days together. No thanks, I'll stick with PH.

Cosmo has been great with my offers; 4 nights each new offer and very few nights not available. You could go March 6 to 11, get your 2 comped nights and concentrate your play at Cosmo. That would improve your offers.

I had one like this but a few more nights. I think they comp me more than i deserve.

I don't get that calendar at all. Are they saying they will not even take your money on all those blank days?

Meanwhile, not sure about Cosmo, but at CET looking at rate calendars is almost always better than using offers. And a host usually is even better.

@Basil My offer looks almost identical, but it was truncated by Gmail in my browser. When I opened the full version there were several more dates (including consecutive nights) through the end of May. Perhaps you didn't see the entire thing?

Interesting, apparently there were some dates in May, including two options for consecutive nights.

But still, just don’t understand the point of this. If the dates are that limited, don’t send the offer (I’m sure it’s all automated...).

@Basil Normally I'd agree with you about the futility of sending out such a limited offer, but I've desperately wanted to stay at the Cosmo for years and my play doesn't merit anywhere near two comped nights there, so I was very excited to see it. One of the few dates on that calendar coincided with my upcoming trip, so I added another vacation day and now I'm finally gonna see what all the hype is about!

Yeah Cosmo gives good offers when you make enough theo to clearly cover the room.

For those that barely make it, instead of not offering a comp room at all, they'll only give a comp on the cheapest nights like this messed up calendar.

Oh they'll take it, if you're willing to pay rack rate.

Unlike places like CET, i don't think logging in always gives you a discount generally. The marketing offer has to explicitly give you one.

I received a similar calendar. I'm wondering if it was a glitch on their end. Maybe call in and ask about two comp nights together in March/April?

They have you pegged at a $ amount per night that's just too low to get two in a row.

It's weird though because their retail rate for April 14 and 18 is less than April 3rd. And the 18th is less than the 14th. Who knows...retail rate maybe fluctuates differently (or more often) than casino rate.

Got the same offer. Might have to look at that May 12th date though. :)

I was pleased to get this offer as I have 4 nights comped in a Nomad room, and needed an extra night. Just happens I can use the May 1st Cosmo comp for that night. I tried to get them to give me the night before- thereby giving me 3 at Nomad, and 2 at Cosmo, using my Sterling free night. No dice, could have had the 2nd comped but we're leaving that day.
This is the first time in 2 yrs that I have got any offers, other than a small free play offer from them.

Looks like there are different levels of this offer too. Good thing I’ve got the gf around and use her offers of 4 nights plus free play and resort credit. [emoji16]

come on, that's not the worst.
I've seen much worse from Cosmo and other casinos as well.
Of course, I take no action other than deleting the emails.

I got the same email, and if I hadn't seen this thread first, I wouldn't have scrolled down and seen there were more dates.

I have the same 2 night offer, when I click it there are no comp dates for the whole quarter, there's a price on everything! Feels like a bug though.

My calendar for this offer was more generous than those posted so far, so I jumped on some dates in May. Linked with my gold tier nights for the Fri/Sat, it’ll work out nicely. Just have to find some friends or family who want to take advantage of the companion nights and join us.

Overall, I’ve always been pleased with my level of comp at Cosmo. From the start where a $100 loss (maybe $500 coin-in during the 30 mins it took to hit the rebate and lose that free play) with their new member loss rebate somehow resulted in 3 free night offers it has always seemed like I’m overcomped. It definitely ebbs and flows, but they are almost always able to offer enough to keep me at the property. We can generally plan our trips around comps or even special rates low enough to make it worth it for us given our preference for the property.

Also, still so relieved they updated their identity site. Much easier to log in and book the offers than calling to see if the dates still work. Got me to book spontaneously yesterday after a quick check of the flight prices.

I scrolled down to my "NEW OFFERS!" from CET to find out I now qualify for a very special 2-for-1 Buffet deal in Lake Tahoe. I'm booking my flight from NY now!
