Babylon Revisited (9-15to9-22)Ellis/Suncoast/Ballys Trying LIVE

I am on a mission. A mission in which the level of accomplishment will only be found in retrospect. Perhaps next week, next year, or as I lay dying. Maybe then I can reminisce and say to myself 'that was it. That was what I was after.' That for one brief moment some truly Lost Generation Gatsby-esque orgy of emotional and sensual experiences were mine with or without savoir-faire. Join me if you so choose on my endeavor.

I will be practically solo this trip even though there are four of us going. It will be myself my girlfriend B, her sister R and R's daughter J. It will be the third trip for B and myself. R was with us in March and J's first trip. Since it is J's first trip they will be doing several day trips. Grand Canyon, Red Rock/Hoover and since she has never seen the ocean they are making the trip over to somewhere in the Santa Monica area one day. I have opted to stay behind and gamble.

I plan to post a lot of pictures. Drink a lot of Bourbon and low roll a lot of video poker. I will also try to share some pics that the girls have of their adventures.

We fly out of Cincinnati tomorrow afternoon arriving around 8pm Vegas time via Frontier.
The first two nights will be at Ellis Island. I dont recall many people staying there though many visit the casino so I will be sure to post photos of the room. Supposed to be in one of the newly remodeled ones.
After two days at Ellis Island we will move to Suncoast on Monday. R's comp so I dont have to give them play with my disgust with the new players club, but you've all heard enough of that. I may give them a little just to see what sort of offers I get in the future. Then the last two days we ended up at Bally's instead of the originally planned Sam's Town. The girls wanted a nice pool so I didnt mind taking the comp offer and paying the couple of days resort fee so they could use that huge pool. I will most likely be hobbling over to Cromwell for the full pay JoB machines unless I'm really up for the trip then I will play the 3 play 9/5 machines that Bally's has.

Other things planned. Will be a visit to Aria's Buffet for dinner next Thursday thanks to MyVegas. Not too excited but J really wanted crab legs so we decided on that one. Wednesday will be coupon run day for me and B. She has Blazin 7's offer from Fremont and I will likely be staying there that night just so I can get some more play in downtown. We are also planning a couple of trips if we can fit them in timewise out to Aliante to play their paper only bingo. In march we really werent pleased with the set up that included the computers. Hard to win much in a sea of blue packs.
Bankroll I'm not even sure yet. Will be somewhere in the 1700-2000 range for me and B. Maybe a bit more I'm not sure how much B has squirrel holed.

So apparently my service stinks so far can't upload photos.

 

Finally got settled in. I was grumpy as I hadn't ate all day. Then I couldn't upload photos but seems to be working now.
B and I had the 7.99 steak special. Hers overcooked. What she get for ordering well done. Mine was great but was ovuercooked for a medium. Had one of the stout home brews. Not Guinness but not bad.
I had Frisco burger she liked. R had Philly but said it was dry. So hit or miss on the food. Total before too with F&B was 6.18 still have another 25 voucher not sure of bbq or metro pizza tomorrow.
Played some vp ran a little over 4k through but only lost 75. Only 2 quads but tons of full houses kept me going.

Thanks for posting pics of Ellis Island's Motel 8. I really like EI but always wondered if I played there enough for a room comp what the room would actually be like.

5600 coin in at Four Queens. Figure that should be good for future offers. Think I lost 125. Resting in room for a bit and going to head back down to the casino. All vp machines should be slants.
