I only drink at the bar with the vp machines and the cocktail waitresses walking around taking drink orders...oh, wait, that's the casino floor. Well, that's where I drink.

Why pay for drinking and not gamble when one can drink for "free" AND gamble?

I had two lovely Bloody Mary’s at Hard Rock in AC. Only cost me $50 each.

Non-profit cocktailing, now we’re talking! Many of the VFW’s have shuffleboard too.

This little ditty starts playing in my noggin when I hear talk about Day Drinking.

Gotta love when that happens. That's why I sit at bartops most of the time where bartenders know me so at least I get a good $50 drink vs on the floor where I'll get 1oz of crap liquor.

unless you drink beer, mixed drinks in casinos for the floor are garbage, with a few exceptions

O’Shea’s and Beer Park are both good. I know it’s talked about A LOT but the frozen baileys at O’Shea’s is tremendous!

Why lose while playing on the main casino floor and drinking swill for free, when you can lose 10x as much playing in the high limit room and drinking top shelf for free?

im saying Id rather sit at a bar and get a nice drink than gamble with a drink thats mostly watered down and very little alcohol and probally not what I asked for...my friends bar in front of Ballys, 2 Jack and cokes with enough alcohol to get most people twisted (takes me a few more lol) is only $9

Agreed, that’s why I go with an appletini, godfather, manhattan, stinger, or a black russian.

The people watching at the tiny Sin City Brewing bar in the Miracle Mile shops at PH is outstanding. The beer and prices are OK and they have cocktails if you aren’t a beer person. I found it by accident last trip and spent over an hour there.

Honorable Mention: Beer Park, for the atmosphere. Hate the high prices, but the atmosphere is great and the bartenders are nice

Edit: forgot to mention...the Cinnamon Toast shot at Stage Door is qualifies as "brunch"

Fans of Diablo’s Cantina can cheer. The rowdy Mexican restaurant that used to sit at the front of the former Monte Carlo, now Park MGM has a new home in Las Vegas.
Starting in December, the restaurant takes over the Tacos & Tequila space at the Luxor. T&T, with its own menu of Mexican fare, closes on Nov. 25.

Typically, my daytime consumption amounts to a glass of wine or a scotch while watching 4 or 4:30 news in my room. Just a habit I've gotten into. One year I thought my first day of a DT stay, I'd sit at one of the outdoor bars and people watch. I checked in, got settled and went down to Fremont and sat I the bar in front of Binions. I ordered a chardonnay and watched it be served in a nice plastic cup! Forgot about the new reg on plastic only. Kinda took the wind out of the sails on that plan. Back to the afternoon news!

    Good Luck!

Last trip we went to Hogs 'n Heifers downtown for some day drinking... WOW we walked out 45 minutes later pretty smashed. Shots, shots and strong drinks but a hell of a lot of fun.
Otherwise at a casino bar, playing VP works just fine every other morning for me!
