January hubby and I both came down with the flu while in Vegas. Well... we arrived Wednesday this week and was doing great until last night!! Hubby got this weird rash all over his body which he thought was a heat rash, then he started running a high fever!!!

Trying to decide if he needs to go to see a doctor!! Hoping it’s not contagious I do not want to be flying home sick .

You think it would be uncaring of me to take the $$ and go gambling today alone while he’s sick (it is my birthday today!!!!!). I feel great and want to have fun!!

He might actually want to be left alone to rest.

Might want to consider going to one of those Med-night clinics to get him checked though. Could be an allergic reaction to something. May need antibiotics? I believe??? that one of the Walgreens or CVS’s has one vs going to an ER but not sure which one.

Benadryl. Helps with itching if there is any.

I was gonna go out and get some for him shortly. I had Tylenol for the fever overnight. He’s almost drank all the water we had so need to get more of that too! Thank goodness for the abc store just downstairs

If he has a fever, he could be contagious. Get him checked out.

Go to the concierge or front desk and ask for assistance in identifying medical options.

Hubby insists it’s a heat rash from Friday. He claims he used to get a fever once in awhile while in Iraq with the rash so he’s not as concerned as me just miserable :(

Shingles? But that's not usually an all-over rash. And it can hurt like mad.

My doc said it is always always on one side only. I had it in January, it sucked.

Go have some fun. Text him once in a while. Maybe bring something back to eat or drink. Or a hand payout might cheer him up.
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I surprisingly had great results from on line docs. It is quick, thorough and you don’t have to leave your house. If they think you need to be seen, they will tell you. Otherwise they can see you, get all the facts and call in any script you need to the nearest pharmacy. I used PlushCare. Best $99 I have spent at a dr.

Hope he gets well soon and you are able to enjoy your birthday!!

Wow. What a run of hard luck.... So sorry this is happening. I say let him rest and check on him every once in a while. Make sure he has plenty of fluids (water, not the other kind, lol) and something to eat and you should go down and have some fun.

I say this because from what you've mentioned, he seems to be in tune with what's happening to his body and he seems coherent and level- headed. His high fever should be a concern so monitoring that should be the priority with fever reducing medication available by his side. Not trying to be a doctor, I'm just trying to help.

Otherwise, have a Happy Birthday and hope you have Good Luck in the casino! I know this sucks but two people need not be miserable and I'm sure he'll understand. Just check on him every once in a while.

Oh well then if he knows it’s just a heat rash and he’s had it before it sounds like going to the nearest bar and forcing fluids should be the cure.

Give him a little Benadryl and some Tylenol. Tylenol is good for fevers (about the only thing it's good for). I wouldn't save the Tylenol for later as he should probably be giving that every 4 to 6 hours. You may want to have water. Pedialyte, Vitamin Water or Gatorade. Something with some electrolytes in it to keep him from becoming dehydrated.

    Hope he feels better soon.

A rash with a high fever sounds serious, but I'm not a doctor, so I won't give out any medical advice. Although if it were me, I would seek out medical advice from a professional at a clinic or hospital, than trying to guess at what the problem might be.

Fever with a rash could be a Strep infection.

You need to go to the casino floor on your B;Day
and drink alcohol for medicinal purposes - so you
won't catch what he has !
He's gonna need sleep / rest and you are gonna what ?.......sit in the room
    and watch him sleep ?
Take your phone and stay connected for any thing he needs
    Happy B Day !
