    My Trip Report

This is my first trip to Laughlin, my first time on a TR Air trip, and my first trip report! Lots of firsts here, and I hope I will do it justice and not bore anyone! Feel free to give me trip report tips :) I plan to do this semi-ish live, as long as the internet and tapatalk cooperate!

My flight leaves at 7 PM and I fear this will be a looooong day! It's not starting out great, as we are having a lot of storm activity in the area. Hopefully this doesn't delay anything. At least it's not snow!! And my car started making a weird noise a few days ago. It seems to do this whenever I have a big trip planned. I'm beginning to think it doesn't want me to leave. haha

    Goals for this trip:
--Log a lot of VP hours! The more I win, the more I can play. My last few trips have been losers, and it's been over 6 months since I've had a RF, so that is a goal! I did hit one practicing online this week, so I hope that's a good sign! Hopefully there are some decent VP games there. Hoping to post many pics of good hands!
--A bit of slots here and there and some table games. I love Mississippi Stud, and Yes, I know it's got a higher house edge.
--Foodwise I'll be eating at the Range steakhouse once night. I have a Diamond dinner cert that I will use for that. I'll be solo but I'm sure I can burn through $100 with some steak, lobster, and lots of wine! (I'm assuming I can apply alcohol to the Diamond cert?) I have a free buffet for one night. The rest will be whatever sounds good at the time.
--It's supposed to be 100 - 110 degrees all week so there will be some pool time, if I can stand it outside. And I'm hoping to do the river walk, and water taxi, as long as I don't melt!

Now to go finish packing. More later...

Looking forward to this, I got a letter this week from Harrah’s for I’d guess the same offer , air, transportation and three nights. Thought about trying this sometime so I’ll be interested what you think!!!

Looking forward to this - never been to Laughlin. You should be able to use Diamond cert for alcohol - I think the only cases you can't is where it's restricted by state law (CA, PA, etc).

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. I know my local casinos don't comp alcohol even when playing so you can't there. Very much looking forward to the copious amounts of free drinks this trip!

Good luck! Hope you find that Royal!

Like @eliza said, alcohol is dependent on state law, but Nevada is fine with it.

I'm at the airport. Way early but I was trying to drive in between thunderstorms. Didn't get wet but now I wait. Grabbed a sandwich from some natural food stand. Chicken salad sandwich for 7.50. This is what I got!
    20180610_162419.jpg

So I went back and asked if that's all you get for 7.50?? I think the kid making it was new. I got a new one. Geeze.

Glad I got here early! The rain hit hard, and the line for charter check in! Yikes! 15286667822050.jpg and now my first adult beverage of the trip.

Yay! Haven’t been to Laughlin in years, but we used to do these junkets and loved them. Enjoy the complimentary cocktails, but stay hydrated if you choose to do the whole river walk. I never had a bad meal at the Range steakhouse. Should be better than the chicken salad sandwich! Looking forward to hearing about your trip.

Almost boarding time. Just some random thoughts... This charter trip is definitely filled with people of a "certain age" . Not saying old because I am NOT old! Hehe

And, oh my 12 bucks for a generic vodka and coke at the airport bar. Akkkkk

A buddy of mine just bought a place in Bullhead and a couple of things I saw there when I visited is Laughlin does have a crowd “of a certain age” and it gets REALLY HOT there, always seems like 5-10 degrees hotter than Vegas even. I didn’t get to go to the river walk but hope you can, it sounds like a nice walk but like vpdueces said you better stay hydrated!

I am a fan of Laughlin. At the risk of sounding Ageist, I am usually the youngest one on the plane. Yes, it is a slightly older demographic. I usually do one day Laughlin then rent a car and do Vegas for two days before coming back to Laughlin. I think four days would be a bit much but I do enjoy it there quite a bit. It's a different pace and it is more relaxing than Vegas.

Last time i was there, Diamond players could drink for free at VP bars without playing. If you are Diamond could you still see if that is still a go? It's been just over a year since I took advantage of one of these charter offers.

Reader of said certain age following along. Careful with the lighting. The reflection of the blue tint can be blinding on occasion.

We just landed. Got right onto a bus and on our way to harrah's. And yes I believe I was one of the youngsters. Lol. I'll try to find out about free drinks at vp bar.

Flight was uneventful. Left on time, landed early! A bit bumpy at first because of storms at home. We did get a free adult beverage. Ketel one vodka! Not bad. And the snacks were decent. No W 20180610_200319.jpg 20180610_200319.jpg aiting at baggage claim. Bags will be delivered right to the room!

Can't wait to read this one. I get an offer about every 6 weeks. So far they haven't worked out well with my schedule but one of these days!

From exiting airplane to bring in my room took no more than 15 minutes! Awesome! The room is decent. I am in the adult tower. I guess that's a good thing. A little disappointed, the reservation described the room patio 1 bed. I guess I was expecting a patio, but nope. I also asked for river view and I csn sort of see it out the side of my window. I'll take a Pic tomorrow when it's light out. Here are some pics of the room.

Starting off OK. At the bar. Lemon drop martini. Not chandelier bar grade but good. Put 100 in a triple play game. Bonus poker 6/5 ugh. But oh well Get downs to 40,then 4oak! And dealt flush. Back to even. Switch to double bonus and boom quads!
