Diamond Access extended

just got an email from CET that diamond access has been extended until March 31st 2018 for all diamond members and a "tiered" point system for extended access?

Just got that email as well....good news for my March trip!!

 

me as well as i have a Biloxi trip march 25th-31st lol

 

I earned over the 25,000 points in 2017. Does this mean that starting 3/31/18 I can't enter the lounges if I don't earn the points this year or am I good for the entire year?

Yup. Just opened this. As suspected, it doesn't apply to the Old Guards (AC & Windsor).

 

For anybody under the threshold or additional guests they require 1000 rewards credits. My vegas host takes all my rewards credits each trip. What happens if you dont have any rewards credits?

 

Good news for my trip in March but I assume it will still be 10k reward credits for a friend?

LOL is that a screenshot of the actual email that was sent? You would think CET could afford to hire a proofreader with all the cutbacks they've made....I highly doubt that one needs to earn 250k TC for DL access in 2019...

Remember that Q1 QFR TCs are not awarded until AFTER 3/31/2018, when the number goes UP to 12,000.

If you're not going until April, your only options will be to earn 12,000 to get it through Sept 30 and/or 18,000 to get it through December 31. From your earlier comment, I think you realize that, just clarifying.

 

I had already resigned myself to no more diamond lounges. It definitely isn't worth 1000 TC's to me. They didn't convince me to earn an extra 6000TC"s and get a 4000 TC bonus to get to 25K in Qtr 4. Not sure if this will convince me to try and keep it past March 31. I have one trip in Feb and then probably not another until July so I would need about 8K (plus my Quest bonus) in my Feb trip to keep it for my July trip. I have to give CET credit though. They are making me at least think about it again.

 

I screwed up my comment in any case as I meant to put 5000 which gives me the 10,000 bonus! I tend to try and do DIAD when I get there or at least within two days.

Whoops, bad news in the fine print. You have to get 6,000 by 3/31 or else you have to get 25,000.

 

Well that sucks! Oh well. Least I still get my comp rooms and resort fees etc. Not gonna sweat it too bad about the DL access, I'll just do enough for diamond from now on and to cover my room comp and give mlife and Cosmo a little more play.

Can't get to Vegas before April as I have to fly from the UK, which isn't cheap!
