Video Poker Video poker trainers

I'm fairly confident in my JoB and DW ability. I worry because I play these trainers and do fairly well and I will be disappointed when I next get on a real machine and don't fair as well. Wondering if anyone knows of a trainer that truly is accurate to what a real machine would be like or if these trainers let you win to keep you playing. Thanks for any help.

Video Poker for winners has a setting which you can toggle but random is one of the options.

 

Yup, I hit the Winpoker on my phone pretty hard in the month before a Vegas trip. Also like Videopoker.com, but you have to pay to be a Gold member to get any sort of feedback. But it's free to practice or test out game variants you want to try in Vegas.

 

Frugal Video Poker is worth a shot. It's a free download. It's got dozens of games, coaches you, and lets you print "cheat sheets." I use them in the casinos for games I play less frequently. It's dated but works fine on every version of Windows I've had, including Windows 10. It seems to function like the real thing, meaning I usually end up down when I practice with it and have never hit a royal flush.

 

It looks like the wolf web site is no longer hosting Frugal Video Poker software. Does anyone know where to get a copy? Thanks

I used freeslots.com for a couple years for practice while my husband used WinPoker. He always tried to convince me to get WinPoker. I finally did - and see no difference in the math. WinPoker looks fancier but both programs seem to me to be realistic with the randomness of the hands.

I'm using Win Poker on my phone. Seems pretty straightforward and I think it's pretty random. I hit a downswing of $1200 on full pay DDB before going on a small upswing. Definitely shows you the variance of the game.

 

That is a nice trainer, and than you for the welcome to this board. What I was looking for was software to help me simulate play. I have been manually calculating standard deviation curves, and I guess that is really better. I had heard Frugal had this functionality. I've been thinking about buying Optimum as I understand that software will let me tweak strategies and then generate standard deviation curves based on that strategy.

Now I'm going to figure out how to get this board to email me when someone responds in a thread I'm watching so it does not take me forever to respond... Sorry about that!

Anyway, I do like the play perfect app for android.
