Here's the idea, play along if you like: Post pics of Vegas restaurant food. 1 restaurant per post. This way, anyone curious about a specific restaurant should be able to search this thread and see some pics of food from that restaurant. Feel free to add comments or reviews. I'll start: Momofuku at Cosmo: Pork Bun Pork Ramen Sat at the bar mid-day, so the place was almost empty. Both excellent: the pork bun was amazingly good, could have eaten a ton of those and been happy. Ramen was also good, heavy on the umami (which I loved).
Lago at Bellagio: Fusilli with a lamb ragu Braised duck on Polenta The fusilli was excellent, perfectly al dente, and very well sauced (over sauced pasta is a pet peeve of mine) with a bolognese-like consistency. Duck was great at first bite, but the more I ate, the less I liked it. Good experience overall: sat at the bar and asked for recommendations. Bartender asked me a few questions about likes before making suggestions which I appreciate. Very comfortable solo dining, although I missed the view (I hadn't done my research, didn't realize there was an area with a fountain view).
This will be a fun thread to follow! (Sadly, I do not have any pics of yummy food that I have had- maybe I should change that!)
Pizza Hut delivered to Wyndham Grand Desert. Family Trip, July 2015. Used a coupon! Sorry, I have no Del Taco close-ups... RICHARD
Yardbird at the Venetian Old Fashioned Skillet cornbread Fried Chicken First the old fashioned: no idea why it's so good but it is. It really is. I think the best I've had in Vegas. And the cornbread and chicken were amazing. Highly recommended. Edit to add: Finally found the other pics I was looking for. Liked the place so much, ended up back here a month later when I brought the team for a work conference. Did I mention I like the old fashioned? Deviled eggs: I don't like deviled eggs, but these were fantastic And fried chicken biscuits Liked the biscuits, but overall I'd get the full fried chicken instead
I will see your Hash House, and raise you a Go-go Fried chicken Benedict. Didn't even put a dent in this monstrosity
Ahh.. An open faced sandwich, from hand-tossed artisan dough, with tomato relish, aged milk and rennet compound, with thin-sliced dry-cured pork and beef sausage And served with a fine bubbly no less.
NYNY: Nine Fine Irishmen A well poured Guinness And Fish and Chips Liked this place. Food was solid pub offering. Sat at the bar, and liked the vibe: it was lunchtime so pretty quiet, but thanks to a soccer game going on, there was a bit of a crowd. Enough to get a hint of what it could be when it's busy.
L'Atelier Robuchon at the MGM Grand These were part of the seasonal tasting menu (13 courses) last winter. Everything was to die for, but here's my favs Foie Gras and Parmigiano Reggiano Emulsion Foie Gras Ravioles in a Ginger-Ponzu soup Foie Gras stuffed Quail Chocolate and orange dessert (don't remember exactly)
