The fact that so many posts in this thread talk about deals that are no longer available tell you how times have changed. There are still good, cheap eats but not as many as there have been in the past.

    Ah, yes - the infamous "Slots-a-Bun" 99-cent footlong. I had one...once!
But as far as cheap stuff goes today? Downtown, anyway, you're looking at chain fast-food (Subway-Mac-Burger King) or Lanai Express @ the Fremont.
Oh, there is Magnolia Grill @ 4-Queens... they have some good Player's Club specials for $6-$10...

This was 30 years ago but at the Silver Slipper(used to be near the Sands I think).I remember my wife getting a French Dip(with sides) for $2.50.

More recently(a couple years ago) the 2 for 1 coupons from LVA Member Rewards were getting us 2 breakfast buffets for $5 at Coast properties.

The late night gambler specials at Barbary/Bills was always a great buy for good food.

I remember the old peppermill casino(not the restuarant) had breakfast for something like .49cents, scrambled eggs with bacon and something else, paper plates with plastic forks, worth every penny.

Same here, back in 2006. Their old cafe graveyard specials were crazy good deals.

The Night Owl Special at the old IP, located on the second floor in what was their coffee shop (Teahouse?)...
Prime Rib dip, $3.99...surprisingly, always fork tender.

We had Chipotle on the last trip. Aside from Sbarro, it's probably been my cheapest vegas meal.

I'm shocked that no one has mentioned the $9.99 Prime Rib at the Cal. You get salad bar to start (which is all you can eat), a generous cut of prime rib with fixings, and dessert. I highlight its quality irrespective of the price. If it was $19.99, I'd still pay it for the exact same thing.

Also, when you say "your cheapest non-comped meal"... who ever said that a comped meal was "cheap"? :)

At the original O'Sheas. Long before the beer pong and food court there was the DonnyBrook buffet.
$2.99 breakfast AND they gave you 2-for 1 coupons as you walked by.

Cheapest meal I ever had was at the old Boardwalk, during that dead period before Christmas. 29 cent baked chicken dinner. Included vegetables, roll, salad, piece of cake, and wine. Of course plastic Utensils, paper plate, plastic cup for wine.

At Fremont's Lanai Express today, not 1950, you can get a foot long hot dog and soda for $3.49 (look for it on the menu board located around the top middle section) and a 0.99 cent shrimp cocktail. It still exists.

Many years ago at Fitzgeralds I got a HUGE corned beef sandwich, a dill pickle and a draft beer for $1.99. The sandwich was massive and pretty tasty. too, and I didn't have to eat for the rest of day after polishing off one of them.

In April this year we ate at Sarah's kitchen at Klondike Sunset. Dad and SO had the $1.49 breakfast special of two eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns and toast. I had the $2.99 breakfast special of two eggs, two pancakes, two sausages and bacon. It was hot and tasty. This is available from 7 am to 11 am. For less than $10 it was a lot of food.
