Walked through yesterday. Still much drywall activity but all that I saw/noticed was confined to walkways or out of the way areas. No walking outside getting from place to place, nothing unseemly happening in the casino. I have heard they start work by 7 or 8AM

Thanks for replies on walking over.

My flight gets in late before an Aria stay. I was considering going cheap at MC for the night, but instead turned in a MyVegas for a comp night at NYNY. I'll just Uber to Aria instead of fool with the MC construction.

If you're going for your wedding and you're concerned about the hotel's construction then you may want to consider changing anyway to have one less thing to worry about. NYNY isn't that much farther away and is close enough to Monte Carlo's price point to not break the bank.

I missed that part of the penthouse suites. I've not stayed in those so I can't give the best answer. You can search on YouTube for some room reviews. They look pretty good to me but your standard and my standard may be different.

I am currently staying here for over 20 nights. No issues at all with the construction work. All tastefully being done downstairs. Just ask for the room to be non pool facing because of the construction work that does start early in the morning. MC more centrally located that NY NY so i would stay where you are. The casino is quieter than the NY NY and Aria.

Spoken to my host and various supervisors here. The MC is becoming a boutique Aria on the strip and you can expect pricing to adjust to that level of hotel next year. Apparently they are spending more on the renovation than the original build cost of the hotel.

We bought tickets to Cher a couple of days ago. They encouraged us to book dinner reservations before the show. The concierge said that was the last day that Brand would be taking reservations.

Just got this from MGM Resorts:
They are asking that all references to Brand be removed from promotional pages.

We were told when we bought Cher tickets for tomorrow (5/10) that it was closing that day. I felt like she was pushing me to make reservations. We bought the tickets mid April.

Today, we went to see if we could get an extra ticket for my friend, and the place looked closed already. It was just before regular opening time, but there was no activity there at all.

Just got back from using the MyVegas comp Thu-Fri night. I felt like it was "good enough." I will try to get some pics once I get home. Noticed some things like worn carpeting on my floor, but it's all getting ripped out anyway. The main issue most will have is construction noise is significant, and seemed to go from 7 am- 1am. I had a room on the 15th floor facing the construction, but I sleep through most anything and it didn't bother me personally. If noise is going to keep you from sleeping, definitely make sure you get a room not facing that area. I did really enjoy (and use the heck out of) the tram at the back that runs up to Aria and Bellagio.

One other thing: I did online check-in and am glad I did. I was able to go right to a kiosk and get my keys, while otherwise the lines looked pretty long all weekend.

Any updates on the progress? I had a host from there contact me with a good offer that could lure me away from Delano but not without some knowledge of the actual upgrades, not just hype from a host I don't know.

As of a few weeks ago it was still a complete shit show. The mall was gone, its now a tiny walled up corridor to get you to Aria. There is no pool, the entire outside is gone actually. Still plenty noisy and sandy, even with the fake walls they slapped up to help with the sand storms during construction.

I dont know how good of an offer you got, but the place is a mess right now. Your room might be fine, just depends on where they stick you.

Unless the host puts you in high floor suite or in Hotel32, i would suggest staying at Delano.

Most of the ameneties of the "resort" is gone so its almost as if you're staying in a regular hotel.

Can you walk to Mandalay Bay or MGMs pool, absolutely. But who wants to do that?

Your time is valuable and the inconvenience isnt worth it.
