    My Trip Report

It's 4:15AM Pacific time. Well, in about 3 hours I will be in Las Vegas. I caught an early flight on Easter Sunday. First time staying at Aria on a myVegas comp, then on to Harrahs for the second GGWU event of the year.

Since the myVegas comp carries NO PLAY obligation, it will be fun to "relax" and only play if I WANT TO.

I "checked in" at Aria last night. Let's see how that goes. I'm gonna try to check in a "little" early.

Having dinner tonight with my BFF at Tender Steakhouse, and lunch tomorrow with him and a friend at Julian Serrano's Tapas. Dinner will be at Andiamo's at the D with the "last" of my $100 comps.

The other reason we're getting In early is so that we can put down bets on the NBA playoffs. I'm hoping to "seed" my bankroll early.

I'm going to try to document in pictures all of my rooms and meals.

Have a great trip! You are going to love Aria! I have stayed there a number of times and Aria is now one of my favorite casinos. Very nice, clean rooms, a relaxing and fun pool area, a big casino that offers a lot... I hit two royals there my last trip and my wife hit one! Good luck!

Are you sure the myvegas is a no play obligation? If it's your name on the room won't that count as a no play day towards future offers? Of course you should never feel obligated to play anything you don't want to.

OK, so here's a short report from yesterday, more details later.

Arrived LV at 7:45AM, at the V/P by 8:15 AM. A very "slow" travel day. After all, it was Easter Sunday.

I sat and played the Silver Strike machine and got one blue cap and 4 clear caps for $80.

My BFF, finally showed up at about 8:45AM. "Les" and I had breakfast at Grande Lux cafe in Palazzo and went over the basketball lines since we were betting that morning.

I decided on a parlay bet Washington and the over, and another parlay bet of Golden State and over. Not big money, just $55 and $110 respectively.

We then went over to Aria where I was notified that my room was ready.

OK, my first knock against Aria. If you don't like walking A LOT, don't stay here. The walk between self park and the lobby was very long. Now, I guess I'm spoiled because I valet everywhere, and since making mLife golf was on my list of things to do, it bumped up in order to get "free" valet.

I had a room on the 34th floor, facing away from the strip. Since this was a solo trip, and a myVegas comp, I didn't see the need for a "strip view" for an addl. $30 a day.

    The rooms are nice+

    upload_2017-4-17_10-11-16.png

The view was OK, I had a view of the Vdara pool area and the Cosmopolitan pool

    upload_2017-4-17_10-11-50.png
    upload_2017-4-17_10-12-10.png

Les and I split up and would meet for dinner later

I put in "some" play at Aria, and then decided to go over to Luxor and Excalibur to set up my comps for Sunday night and whenever I would use the Excalibur comp.

So, I walked from Aria to Excalibur, and took the tram from Excalibur to Luxor, which involved taking a tram from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay and then back to Luxor.

OK, so, I'm in my 60's, and have two bad knees and I don't know how to walk "slow". But, I made it, and was tempted to take uber back to Aria once I was done, but decided to hoof it back to Aria. I took the tram from Monte Carlo to Aria, but that wasn't really an optimal route since I had to walk a lot further than if I had from Monte Carlo. Oh well, live and learn.

Went back to the room. Washington was down at the half, and I thought I had lost that bet, but as it turned out, I actually won that bet, which made me "up" for my sports bet regardless of the outcome of the GS game. I watched the GS game, which looked pretty dismal at halftime. I took a short nap, and when I woke up, the Warriors were leading by 10. As it got to the end of the 4th quarter, they had already made the over, the Warriors just had to win by 16. Oh, if Draymond Green had only made that last layup. it was tough, and contested, but the Warriors didn't cover . . .

Time to go to Luxor for dinner at Tender Steak. I will pick the TR up after Monday dinner.

It's Monday morning at 10:25AM gotta go pick Les up for lunch at Julian Serrano's Tapas with a local LV friend. He picked up my $300 strike at QQQQ on St. Patrick's Day.

I took an Uber from Aria's north valet to the drop off at the Delano valet... it was only about $6.

Dinner was at Tender Steakhouse at Luxor.

We were seated early. We were eating on a myVegas $75 off $150 comp.

We ordered oysters in a sampler platter two each of the three varieties served

    upload_2017-4-17_20-13-59.png

    A cheese platter

    From the menu

"American artisanal & farmhouse cheeses with fresh baguettes, honeycomb, local honey dates, quince paste & cherry fig chutney."

    Gouda, Brie, and Bleu

    upload_2017-4-17_20-14-19.png

    I ordered the game trio

    GAME TASTING TRIO*
venison osso buco, Rocky Mountain elk medallion and wild boar rack chop with farro, fig chutney and huckleberry venison reduction"

    upload_2017-4-17_20-14-33.png

Les ordered the "WAGYU BEEF, DARLING DOWN, AUSTRALIA"

    upload_2017-4-17_20-15-43.png

I ordered the Mac and Cheese with truffles

    upload_2017-4-17_20-16-10.png

    Everything was superb.

Fully stuffed, the bill was about $160.00, we used the $75 credit and charged the rest to the room.

I dropped Les off downtown where he was staying and went back to Aria. I checked my mLife account that I was $300 "spend" away from making gold, but my legs were "feeling it" and I decided to play a little to make gold. I wasn't keeping very good track of the machines I was playing and played way too many "$10 for 1" point slot machines.

Went to the mLife players club desk to check on my status, and found that I had made Gold. Now I can park in valet for free vs. $20/day.

Time for bed. I'm down, but within budget, and my play is complete for mLife.

I woke up at 6:45AM, and called Wes about 7:15. We decided to go out to Jinju Chocolates so I could pick up my "host gifts". Ate breakfast at a "local" restaurant Egg
    Works out by Jinju.

I had to go to Target to pick up a few things that I had forgotten, plus a sewing kit because I ripped a button off of my shorts.

That was taken care of, and Les dropped me off back at Aria. I playes a "little", despite being done with mLife (for the year).

10:45. Since I now had valet privileges, I volunteered to pick up Les for lunch. We had lunch at Julian Serraons with J.K. a professional pool player friend a mine. J.K. is also a Silver Striker, and picks up my $300 strikes when I can't.

He gave me the St. Patrick's Day $300 strike.

Lunch was a Julian Serrano's Tapas at Aria.

    We had:

    Lobster Gazpacho (me)
    upload_2017-4-17_21-18-2.png
    upload_2017-4-17_21-18-18.png

    Mushroon soup (J.K.)

    Yerllowtail Tiradito
    calamari a la plancha
    rice valenciana
    upload_2017-4-17_21-19-35.png

    Brava Potatoes
    upload_2017-4-17_21-20-4.png

    imported shanish serrano ham
    upload_2017-4-17_21-20-24.png

    albondigas

    Another excellent meal, about $125.

I took Les over to Eastside Cannery after lunch. They had a promotion for $200 loss rebate, but you have to be there for 7 days, I didn't sign up for it, but Les did. I dropped about $150 there.

We were eating dinner early at Andiamo's at the D. We were using $125 of comp vouchers and if you're eating at the D with comp vouchers, you muse eat before 6 or after 9.

I went back to Aria after dropping Les off. I Played a little at Aria, and then went down to the D at about 4PM to play off free play and two $50 match play coupons.

Made $100 on the free play, and about $200 on the Match play coupons, so a "minor" comeback.

By that time it was time for dinner. OK, this dinner probably sets a record. We ordered:

    two wedge salads
    I had lobster risotto
    upload_2017-4-17_21-24-39.png
Les had a 24 oz. ribeye
    We had asparagus
    upload_2017-4-17_21-25-1.png
    and sauteed spinach for sides.
    upload_2017-4-17_21-25-15.png
Les goes home tomorrow, and he packed much of our dinner to take home.

    The bill came. $125.01!!!!!

So all we paid was the tip.

I put down a $110 bet on the San Antonio - Memphis game. A parlay with S.A. -1 and over 189.5.

Doesn't look good at this point. 166 Points with 2 minutes to go. San Antonio covered, but the game did not make the over.

No extracurriculars for me tonight Oh well, that's why they call it gambling . . .

The gambling trip officially starts tomorrow.

OK, the "official trip beings. Got up at 5:30AM, started pacjking. Moving to Harrahs this morning. Off to Caesars to take out a marker, and go down to QQQQ to pay off a marker that I took out but wasn't going to play there.

At Caesars, I earned clost to 400TC and left there UP $400. A good start. Hit the bonus on a $1 Cleopatra 2 machine

    upload_2017-4-18_9-20-55.png

Ended up playing there in the one machine that had A red and A blue (note that this means just ONE). Spent $30, and got three clear caps. Paid off the marker and went bacl to Aria. Parked in the North Valet becasue I was going to have the breakfast buffet on a myVegas comp.

Aria has stepped up their breakfast/lunch offering. A full seafood bar was available.

I had jook (Chinese rice porridge)

    upload_2017-4-18_9-22-23.png

    And filled it with seafood

    upload_2017-4-18_9-22-45.png

Had a second plate of clams, mussels, a shrimp, and smoked salmon. Had OJ and coffee.

I'm back in the room, ready to leave. Gonna go to Palazzo and cash in my BBall ticket, then over to Harrahs to continue my GGWU bonus trip. Aiming for a 2500TC day, but will settle for 1000TC and "up".
