Bellagio - pool, VP, special places

Staying at Bellagio for first time - I've wanted to for years, and finally the rates aligned!

Are there better spots/favorites of yours at the pool that are sunnier and less crowded?
I copied somebody's pic of the pool as my background, looks like there are 2 big pools and several smaller ones. I don't care how close to the water I am.

Also anybody rented a daybed - do you remember how much? It didn't list it on the website.

Any favorite places you have for bartop VP?

Let me know of any other things/hints you've liked there!

 

You should have a great time at the Bellagio! The wife and I stay there twice a year and we do spend quite a bit of time at the pool, although usually in the AM. Since we get there in the morning, we have never found the need to rent a daybed. However, if privacy is a big concern, the Cypress Pool is a good option. There are other daybeds scattered around the pool, but the entire Cypress Pool has nicer loungers and is more private.

As far as sun, it depends entirely on the time of year and the time of day. An area filled with sun in the morning may be in the shade all afternoon and vice versa. During the pool season, the pool is always crowded. Even so, there is a lot of space so you never feel packed in like at the Mirage.

 

The one thing I didn't get to do was go to the pool when I stayed at Bellagio. I was attending a conference at Bellagio so my days were booked up and at the end of the week when my wife joined me we only had limited time to do the Vegas things we wanted to do so the pool was out of the question.

Overall I don't have one specific thing, tip or secret to share but I just loved staying at Bellagio. Normally I'll stay NYNY or MGM area, but always go to Bellagio to watch the fountains a few times each trip, so it was super nice to have the fountains so close to my room. I actually stayed an extra night on my own dime and so splurged to switch rooms and have a fountain view room. It wasn't worth it for only one night. By that time my wife joined me and we felt like we had to stay in the room for a while to watch a few fountain shows to ensure we got value for paying for fountain view.

The location was super great too. As I said, I normally stay on the south end of the strip, most of my activities are down there anyway but we walk the strip probably once per day. Staying at Bellagio it was nice to decide to have the option to go either North or South and get to wherever we were going much quicker than normal.

I second the recommendation for a reserved lounger at the Cypress Pool. It is much more quiet and you will have dedicated service. You can come and go and your lounger will still be there.

 

I always find a spot cause usually solo. And I tend to lay close to the water dispenser..

 

They usually have a good 2/5 going in the poker room

Wow! That's a bit more than Linq's, haha. It's may worth it if you're sharing the cost & plan to be there all day. But think I'll try to Cypress Pool.

 

Is there an entrance to the Bellagio pool at the southern end (adjacent to the Da Vinci room/newsstand/Spa tower elevators)? The property map indicates "Pool Entry & Shops (below)" in that corner (Spa Tower elevators corner) but I'm not sure what that means and if the entrance is available to everyone. Thanks.

 

I LOVE the Bellagio! I rent a cabana for the day, as that's the only way I can spend much time by the pool. I have done the Cypress Pool as well, but I find that pool frrrrrrreezing and loud with the fountain in the middle (just, fyi). The Pool Cafe is wonderful and such a nice setting. The Bellagio Cafe is great...even better with a line pass! Have fun!!!

I'm back. I actually found Bellagio's casino too quiet - I always visit it every trip & have found that before but thought maybe I would find more lively spots once I stayed there. Also half the pool was closed for a special event plus I guess some schools were out that week, so pool was packed.
So I checked out and got a room at Harrah's! Lively casino, quiet rooms.

I'll try to post pics of the Bellagio pool from my phone in case others come across this thread.

 

Yes, there is an entry into the pool from the spa tower area.

I hope the pool isn't closed in the end of June...I'll be there 24th-28th and want to lounge all morning-afternoon!

I really like the Café Bellagio. It's their 24/7 restaurant that's right next to the flower conservatory. The Café Bellagio is very attractive, it has a decent menu and delicious food. It might be a little pricey, but it's a nice place to eat. I eat here every trip even if I am not staying at the Bellagio.

 

It should be OK! - there was just a special event when I was there, but I noticed as I was leaving, they didn't have the signs out to close half the pool that day, plus the week I was there, was some kind of school break so it was extra crowded.

Are there daybeds at all the pools?

And, do they come with umbrellas?

Go to cafe Bellagio for breakfast, get either the corn beef hash or lobster eggs.... yum, wife and I had those last Friday. Damn good!!!

 

Not relevant to OP's trip but one nice thing about the Bellagio pool is that it is open year round and heated. My wife and I were there this past January and on a beautiful sunny 70 degree day took a swim in the pool (which felt about 85 degrees). With only a dozen or so people there and only a couple in the pool, it was really a fantastic experience.
