So I have two nights booked at Mandalay Bay for April 16/17 and was just causally looking at my offers just for giggles and seen that I can get have the 16-18 for $35 a night. Tried to book the 18 for one night, figuring I would add a night on and it tells me no room type available which I found odd so I called and was informed that because I was using MyVegas for the first two nights, I could not book this offer for a third night even though it shows in my offers. Seems unfair honestly and I calmly let her know I would just stay the two nights and take my business to CET the rest of the trip (which has always been the plan) and she basically said no problem, can I book you a show or dinner reservations which I do need. Just wanted to rant, not thrilled that they would show it and not allow me to book it. Screenshot 2017-04-04 21.27.52.png

When offers are tied to a reservation... things happen when combining offers (or back to back).

Is anyone else going with you? Can they get these rates without you name.

for grins, the public rate for
    15th is $145 and
    16th for $70,
    17th is $70
    18th is $65

Nope, I am going solo. I have three comp nights at Harrahs but I figured for $35 plus resort fee I would stay another night at M-bay

Vegas seems to be cycling back to boom mode... They are no longer begging for your business...maybe in twelve years they will be, in the meantime is $95 to much to ask for a quality clean room on the strip...i think not

Its the principal, they clearly show a rate calendar in my offers with NO FINE PRINT and then refuse to honor the price, but will allow me to book at a higher rate I am sure, therefore in my eyes bait and switch. Its not going to ruin my trip, not even going to impact it, I just wanted to vent.

Apparently Vegas is currently being overwhelmed with people that they can do want they want.
Plenty of posts about comps disappearing and people getting frustrated.
Just wait if the Raiders do go to Vegas.
You can just about forget about any comps during football season.

Yeah lately MGM and I sure others as well, they seem to cut back drastically on comp values - I was reading article couple weeks ago that for first time "strip hotels rooms average prices broke $150 in 2016" obviously they are happy with results also charging parking fees (now raising) they will keep on doing this - I don't think they will go back to way it was.
So I'm not surprised by mlife said "no problem" too bad...

If they don't allow back-to-back bookings of MyVegas and MLife offers, then it's not really unfair or a bait and switch, it's a limitation of the reservations system.

Total Rewards is the same. If you have a trip already booked, the availability calendars will still show those same nights as available for COMP, but it won't let you book them.

Its open to opinion but I believe if they advertise a rate, thats the rate we should be able to pay.
