who has been doing Vegas all wrong! Didn't want to use a players card -didn't want to be tracked, etc. After reading your board, I've learned I've left a lot of money with the casino in the form of comps and freebies. My next trip is in 4 weeks and this time, I will get and use players cards. I have no idea how to get a host, or if I even need one. I play slots and VP, usually try to keep it to $300/ day. I love to play the horses, and a good sports book is important to me (LOVE the Wynn Sports book.)Great to the horseplayers and easy drink comps.
Thanks for all the info you are all so willing to share!

Welcome.......another degenerate pony addict. I'm in Vegas next week and plan to bet on Kentucky Derby futures. Who do you like?

Welcome from another (soon to be) PNWer. What a lousy winter. After spending this winter and last winter out there, I think I have it bracketed.

As to losing $300 daily as a limit, that can be enough to get attention from a host or not enough, depending on where you go and how long you played before you hit that number. Casinos want to see how much total money you wager (aka coin in) as well as your average wager and what you are playing. Many of us on this board can make suggestions about comps. The more you tell us, the more helpful we can be.

Derby-with Mastery out of the picture, it opens it up a bit odds wise I think. Pool 4 later this month won't give great odds for the bigger names, but things will change some. I bet Gunnevara, McCracken, American Anthem and Practical Joke in the earlier pools. I like to wait until a couple weeks before Derby time to firm up my bets, and watch a lot of replays.
Who do you like in the Oaks? Seems like they've crowned Unique Bella already, I'm not giving up on my other early pool bets just yet...

Bardolator- it was a weird winter out here this year and wet. Not that that's weird here, just a bit more gloomy. I can usually make that $300 last and as most degenerate horse players do, can always reload by playing a few races in the sports book. I have set limits for myself, but there are always exceptions. I look forward to the help.

Thanks for the nice welcome everyone.

Welcome and don't feel bad that you did not use a players card before cause you did not want to get tracked. We did the same thing for years until we found out better.

We love the PNW! Sometimes we talk about going bigfooting.
