Been a long time since I last stayed at PHo, so hopefully someone can help me out with these questions:
    1. Is there a separate checkin for diamond members? And I believe the diamond lounge is on the second floor of the casino, but could someone confirm that.
    2. Where is the Hertz car rental desk at the property?

If anyone has any other good tips, let me know. I am headed there Wednesday. Thanks!

There's kind of 3 levels at PH:
    • The area where you'd get dropped off via car is the lowest level, it has the main front desk, and gift shop, and yes, there is a Diamond check in on the same level.
    • The second level has the casino and some of the restaurants, this is the level you'd be entering if you were coming in off the Strip
    • The third level (Mezzanine) I never went up to, but it has a couple of restaurants and the Diamond lounge is on this level.
The elevators serve all levels, but there's also escalators between them.

    Hertz at PH:

I have not rented from there, but it is my understanding that the Hertz desk is very close to the main check in desk for the PH. I also understand that you then need to go up to the 8th floor of the parking garage to get the car. Apparently there are no marked "Hertz" parking spaces or staff up there. You need to search for the car yourself.

If this info is incorrect, pls let me know.

Tip: Two the of the cheapest Breakfast spots on the Strip (if that is something you are interested in) are suppose to be in The Miracle Mile Shops connected to the PH. They are Blondies Breakfast and La Salsa Cantina. I did not check them out on my last trip, so someone else will need to confirm this.

Make sure to ask for a room away from any construction. The Monday after the Super Bowl, my buddy heard loud jack hammering a few floors above him in the South Tower. It was so loud he was able to record it on his phone. After he mentioned it, I could barely hear it near my window 10 floors below him. They started about 9am.

I think it's converting the Hip rooms to Ultra Hip, but no idea why they they would be jack hammering.

The diamond check in has some weird hours. We stayed there 2 years ago and they were closed at 6:30 p.m. on a Monday night! I guess we're just used to the one at Paris, they seem to be open til at least 10 p.m.

The Diamond check in/out is on the lower level next to the regular checkin. Just go through the double doors.

The Hertz desk is right by the check in area. We have rented 2 times and the cars are on the top floor of the parking ramp area, sort of a pain to get to as you go through the Miracle Mile. All else is like has been written. Will be there in 2 weeks.......Rick

Hertz is right outside/next to the Diamond Check-in, which is on the upper right side when you first walk into the main entrance/check-in area. Not sure what rooms you have but I would request for the North towers, high floors. And I can also confirm there is a some construction going on as I was just there last week. From what host told me, it's renovating the old hip and resort rooms and some suites. As other's have said, there's Diamond lounge on the Mezzanine level. May be a bit hard to find if you never been there before. It's by the Gallery Nightclub, on the left. After you check in, go to the ABC store and stack up on cheap snacks, water, and liquor. If you're Plat tier or higher, you get to skip the line at Starbucks downstairs in check-in area.

Diamond Lounge is pretty average but usually not busy and service is good. For good, inexpensive food, I recommmend Planet Dailies, Earl of Sandwich and Pin Up Pizza. ABC and Walgreens are good places to pick up reasonably priced snacks and beverageso. High limit room is a comfortable place to play if you are so inclined. Diamond check-in and checkout is, I believe, from 8 until 9. Missed it checking in and out.

I actually would say the diamond lounge is pretty nice, and have found the service there to be excellent. It's just to the right on the second level as your going up the main set of escalators to the second level. The AXS theatre is to the left and the DL to the right.

there is a main room where the food / snacks are located, and a connected lounge area with tv and sofa. I've always found the servers to be top notch and will take real good care of you. Food offerings can very, but usually have better than average appetizers during the "warm food" hours.

I always enjoy the diamond lounge at PHO. They always have a list of specialty drinks and the staff is always polite. It is kind of hidden but does have signage directing the way. The Hertz counter is to the right of the Platinum check in. I love playing video poker there in the morning because of the music even though drink service can be spotty at times if not playing at one of the bars. Enjoy your stay and see if you can rent a Hertz Shelby Gt-H. It's a blast to drive.

Thanks. For the car, though, I am that weirdo who prefers a little compact, efficient car. My plan is to go hiking at Sloan Canyon and maybe go check out the magic mountains exhibit while I am down that way

About the Diamond Lounge, we enjoy PH's very much as a nice quiet place to relax have a drink and talk, that is smoke free. The snack food makes for a good munchies stop. I do like Caesars more and also Paris is good but PH's is right up there........Rick

Is the VIP pass good for the diamond lounge?
