I always read about MarchMadness hotel rates being high. I just looked at the next two weeks for Mirage and all of CET. They really are not that bad. The only high are Fri/Sat March 24/25. Even then, not that bad. Myabe $250 at Caesars, etc.

Will be there on the 25th but not for basketball. Will casinos be crazy?

Nah the second weekend is much calmer. This weekend is the one where it gets wild. But only really Thursday and Friday. Saturday it calms down a bit because the two days of sheer drunkenness starts to seep in. By Sunday the Californians are leaving and it's noticeably quieter.

Second week is next to nothing. This weekhas the same rates as a large convention. Next week is like minor holidays

Not like I was going to go this weekend, but for last minute, I don't feel like this weekend's rates are that sky high on CET either.

Maybe its a down year. The above posts are correct, though. As I have posted several times, the second and third weekends of MM are no busier than the typical weekend during football season. This weekend is typically crowded. But I am on the plane flying there right now and for the first time during ten years of going to vegas for MM, the plane headed there on Wednesday is not full. There are about sixty empty seats on the plane, which I have never seen heading out for MM

Our plane is packed, first and comfort+ both sold out full no upgrades. Standby is 20 deep. Hopefully your flight is the anomaly. I did notice flight prices were up this year significantly over previous years. 700$ when booked in December.

Yesterday afternoon our United flight out of IAH was full with 42 on standby. Apparently an earlier flight was cancelled.

Cosmo is ridiculous. Rack rate per night is 845 for a terrace one bedroom, 1125 for a terrace suite, 1275 for a wraparound.

Last year we went during the first weekend.
The table limits were definitely higher.
Although there were definitely a lot more people the crowds were mostly is the bars watching the game.
